What a racing wheel changes
A wheel can provide physical steering and force feedback. Depending on the setup, mapped buttons and telemetry such as RPM, speed, and gear may also be available. Pedals and a shifter add physical inputs, while some wheel-and-pedal bundles attach to a desk or table with clamps. Check compatibility before buying
Forza’s wheel-compatibility article separates its Forza Motorsport lists for console and PC. Examples on the console list include Logitech G920 and G923, Thrustmaster T128 and T248, and selected Fanatec and HORI models. The PC list is broader, including Logitech G29 and Moza R9 variants, and describes DirectInput support on PC. At Forza Motorsport’s 2023 launch, Xbox Wire described wheel support across Xbox Series X|S and Windows 10/11 PCs, naming Logitech, Thrustmaster, and Fanatec. The article discussed products including the Logitech G923 and Thrustmaster T128X and T248X, whose clamp-based attachment systems allow desk or table mounting. That launch-context coverage is not a guarantee of current regional availability or compatibility for every product variant. Wheel settings can change with the game
Forza Motorsport Update 20 added wheel calibration and car-specific steering lock-to-lock behavior. The update also adjusted default force-feedback settings for most wheels and recommends checking Advanced Wheel settings; it did not overwrite existing tuned settings.
