Will the window kit fit your window?
The included slider kit adjusts from 67.5 to 125cm. Dimplex says it is designed for “most standard vertical and horizontal window applications,” while noting that some window types may require changes to the installation procedure. That is not a promise that the kit fits every window style. The manual says screws can be used to fasten the kit if needed, but screws are not supplied. Dimplex portable AC instruction manual.
Before buying, check the clear opening against the kit’s range and plan how the exhaust hose will reach the window. Also consider whether you can seal gaps around the slider, maintain clearance around the appliance, and make any required modification safely and practically. Does the DCP26FS have Wi-Fi?
Dimplex’s model-specific specification sheet lists Wi-Fi through Glen Dimplex Connect. However, the extracted feature table in the combined-model instruction manual appears to assign Wi-Fi to the DCP20FS and show none for the DCP26FS. Because those documents conflict, do not rely on Wi-Fi as a deciding feature without confirming the exact unit.

What do independent reviews and owner reports establish?
CHOICE’s open page shows product details but does not reveal its expert rating or test results, so it cannot support a claim that the DCP26FS has a particular independently measured cooling, noise, or energy performance. Its displayed $699 is not a verified current selling price because the page says it has no current price links.
