Scores vary by source and test, and neither chipset page represents a controlled comparison of phones. For gaming or everyday use, the specific handset’s cooling, battery, software, and configuration matter as much as the processor.
Dimensity 8350 vs Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2: key specifications
Both are eight-core smartphone platforms made on a 4 nm process class, but their published specifications differ. MediaTek lists four Cortex-A715 cores and four Cortex-A510 cores for the Dimensity 8350; Qualcomm describes the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 as having a Kryo CPU. The comparison below separates vendor-published details from information attributed to 91mobiles.

| Specification | Dimensity 8350 | Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 |
|---|---|---|
| CPU | 4× Cortex-A715 up to 3.35 GHz and 4× Cortex-A510, per MediaTek | Kryo CPU up to 2.91 GHz, per Qualcomm. 91mobiles describes the layout as 1× Cortex-X2, 3× Cortex-A710 and 4× Cortex-A510. |
| Graphics | Arm Mali-G615 MC6, per MediaTek | Adreno graphics, per Qualcomm; 91mobiles identifies the GPU as Adreno 725. |
| Memory and storage | Quad-channel LPDDR5X up to 8533 Mbps; UFS 4.0 with MCQ, per MediaTek | 91mobiles lists LPDDR5. Qualcomm’s product page does not state a full memory and storage specification in the reviewed page content. |
| Process | 4 nm-class, described by MediaTek as “Ultra-efficient 4nm-class chip” | 4 nm, per Qualcomm |
| Connectivity | Listed peak downlink of 5.17 Gbps; Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4, per MediaTek | X62 modem-RF system with up to 4.4 Gbps peak downlink and Wi-Fi 6E support, per Qualcomm |
| Camera and media | Up to 320 MP sensor support, 4K capture and AV1 playback, per MediaTek | 18-bit Spectra ISP and support for photos up to 200 MP, per Qualcomm |
A listed peak CPU clock is not a complete measure of speed: chip architecture, workload, power limits, and the phone’s thermal design all affect results. Likewise, 4 nm is a process-class label, not a direct performance score. The connectivity figures are platform peak specifications, not expected real-world download speeds. Camera and media capabilities describe what the platform can support; manufacturers decide which features to implement in a phone.
What the benchmark comparisons show
Published scores give different answers depending on the benchmark and source. Treat them as source-specific entries, not as results from a controlled test of two otherwise identical phones.

91mobiles results
91mobiles’ summary lists Geekbench single-core and multi-core scores of 1,470 and 4,581 for the Dimensity 8350, versus 1,098 and 3,967 for the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2. The same page lists AnTuTu scores of 1,448,697 and 943,804, respectively, in its summary; its detailed AnTuTu section instead gives 1,406,042 for the Dimensity and “N/A” for the Snapdragon. The page says it has no benchmark screenshots for these processors, so the conflicting Dimensity AnTuTu values should not be treated as a matched measurement. See the 91mobiles comparison.
NanoReview results
NanoReview displays AnTuTu 10 scores of 1,353,134 for the Dimensity 8350 and 1,124,140 for the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2. In its Geekbench 6 section, the Snapdragon is ahead in both listed results: 1,697 versus 1,285 for single-core and 4,404 versus 4,325 for multi-core. Its 3DMark Wild Life entry gives the Snapdragon a score of 7,530 and 84% stability, but supplies no Dimensity result for that test. Those values describe NanoReview’s displayed entries; they do not establish sustained performance in every phone. See NanoReview’s comparison.
The different results are a reason not to declare a universal benchmark winner. Test version, device, measurement conditions, and the source’s methodology can affect scores. The available comparisons do not establish a controlled same-phone test of these two chipsets.
Which chipset is better for gaming?
The specifications identify different GPUs—Mali-G615 MC6 for the Dimensity 8350 and Adreno graphics for the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2—but GPU names alone do not show how a game will run. The listed 3DMark Wild Life result is only for the Snapdragon in NanoReview’s comparison, so it cannot serve as a direct GPU contest.
For gaming, prioritize tests of the exact phone and look for frame-rate consistency during a sustained session, temperature, and battery drain—not only a short benchmark peak. Cooling design and power limits are handset-level factors; chipset specifications alone do not settle which phone will play better.
What to compare when choosing a phone
These processors appear in different handset lineups, so compare the whole device rather than buying on chipset name alone. 91mobiles lists the POCO F5 as a Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 example and names the OPPO Reno13 and Lava Agni 4 among Dimensity 8350 examples. That comparison page is not live inventory: verify the exact model, regional variant, configuration, and current availability before deciding.
- Performance tests: Look for credible results from the exact model and note the benchmark version and whether the test measures short bursts or sustained load.
- Thermals and battery: A phone’s cooling system, power limits, and battery capacity influence long gaming sessions and everyday performance.
- Memory and storage configuration: The Dimensity vendor page lists LPDDR5X and UFS 4.0 support; actual phone configuration can differ by model. 91mobiles lists LPDDR5 for the Snapdragon platform, while Qualcomm’s page does not provide a full memory/storage specification in the reviewed content.
- Display, software support, and price: These are handset decisions, not conclusions that can be drawn from the chipset pages. Check the particular phone and region.
Bottom line: a platform advantage is not a phone verdict
The Dimensity 8350’s vendor-listed peak clock, LPDDR5X support, and UFS 4.0 with MCQ are clear specification advantages in the published details compared here. Benchmark evidence is mixed across sources and test types, so it does not support a blanket claim that either SoC is faster in every use. Choose based on the exact phones available to you and reliable tests of their performance, cooling, battery, and software.
