The figures come from 91mobiles’ device-tested database, not a matched-phone test. MediaTek’s official specifications page is for the Dimensity 6360, while 91mobiles maintains a separate Dimensity 6360 Max entry; that naming distinction matters when comparing the published specs and scores.

Which chipset is faster in benchmarks?
In 91mobiles’ reported AnTuTu results, Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 scores 653,645 and Dimensity 6360 Max scores 651,333. The difference is 2,312 points, approximately 0.35% of the Dimensity score. That calculation compares the two database values; it is not a separate test.

91mobiles says its benchmark figures are drawn from real-world testing of devices powered by the chips, and describes the Dimensity AnTuTu result as the highest recorded for a device using that chip. It associates that result with the OPPO F33 Pro 5G. These figures are useful as a rough reference, but they do not establish a consistent advantage across phones.

The same database reports Dimensity 6360 Max scores of 784 in Geekbench single-core and 2,042 in multi-core. The cited entry does not give a paired Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 Geekbench result, so those numbers cannot support a Geekbench winner.

What the published specifications show
Dimensity 6360 Max naming and the official specification
MediaTek’s official product page is titled MediaTek Dimensity 6360, not Dimensity 6360 Max. It lists an eight-core CPU with two Arm Cortex-A76 cores up to 2.4 GHz and six Arm Cortex-A55 cores up to 2.0 GHz, Arm Mali-G57 MC2 graphics, LPDDR4x memory up to 2133 MHz, UFS 2.2 storage, and display support up to 2520 × 1080 at up to 120 Hz. Camera support is listed up to 108 MP.
Those are manufacturer-stated platform capabilities for Dimensity 6360. The sources available here do not establish whether every specification is identical for every phone marketed with the Dimensity 6360 Max name, so check the handset maker’s own specifications for the model you are considering.

Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 specification detail
Qualcomm’s May 7, 2026 announcement emphasizes Release 17 5G and DSDA. It does not provide a CPU-core, memory, storage, display, or camera specification table in the announcement reviewed here. An equivalent feature-by-feature hardware comparison therefore cannot be made from these published details alone.
Connectivity: Release 16 versus Release 17
MediaTek lists 3GPP Release 16 support, 5G carrier aggregation, and peak download speeds up to 3.3 Gbps for the Dimensity 6360. The 3.3 Gbps figure is a manufacturer-stated maximum capability, not a guaranteed speed on a carrier network or in a particular phone.

Qualcomm says Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 supports 3GPP Release 17 and Dual SIM Dual Active. Release 17 is a newer 3GPP release number than Release 16, but that alone does not prove better reception, faster real-world data, or broader band support. Those depend on the phone’s modem implementation, supported bands, antennas, carrier, and local network conditions.
What these results mean when choosing a phone
The benchmark gap is too small, and the testing is not sufficiently matched, to decide between phones on chipset score alone. The cited sources do not provide a shared-device test protocol, confidence intervals, sustained-load comparison, or comparable battery measurements. Cooling, firmware, memory configuration, screen resolution, and battery capacity can all affect how a particular handset performs, but no controlled comparison here quantifies those factors.

- Compare the exact phone models’ prices, display, camera hardware, battery capacity, and software-support commitments.
- Check the manufacturer’s specifications for the precise chipset name and memory configuration rather than assuming every handset uses the platform identically.
- For 5G, confirm the phone supports the bands and carrier features you need in your region; a release number or peak-speed claim is not enough.
- Verify that a Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 phone is actually available in your market. Qualcomm’s launch announcement named expected partner devices for the second half of 2026, which is an expectation rather than proof of a local retail release.
Verdict
The available AnTuTu database numbers put Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 narrowly ahead, but the 0.35% difference should be treated as a near tie rather than a meaningful universal performance lead. Dimensity 6360 has more detailed published CPU, memory, display, and camera specifications in the cited official source; Snapdragon 4 Gen 5’s announced distinctions include Release 17 and DSDA. Choose based on the complete phone and its verified regional availability, not this score difference alone.
