Do the Galaxy M36 and A27 5G have the same battery and display?
Display: similar headline experience
Both are listed with FHD+ Super AMOLED displays and refresh rates up to 120 Hz. Samsung gives the M36’s screen as 16.91 cm (6.7 inches) measured as a full rectangle, or 16.45 cm when rounded corners are accounted for. The A27 announcement describes a 6.7-inch panel. These figures use different measurement conventions, so they indicate the same broad display class rather than a meaningful size advantage.

Battery and charging: same stated capacity
Samsung specifies a 5,000 mAh typical battery and 25 W wired charging for each phone. Those specifications do not establish equal battery life: endurance depends on usage, settings, network conditions and other factors, and the figures here are not results from a comparable battery test. Samsung notes that the M36’s 25 W charger is sold separately.
Which phone has the better camera, Galaxy M36 or A27?
On paper, the M36 has the higher-resolution ultrawide and front cameras: 8 MP versus 5 MP for the A27’s ultrawide, and 13 MP versus 12 MP for the selfie camera. Both list a 50 MP main camera with optical image stabilisation and a 2 MP macro camera. The A27 announcement highlights HDR for its front camera and 4K recording for its main camera.

Megapixel counts alone cannot establish which phone produces better photos or video. Image quality also depends on factors such as the sensor, lens, processing and shooting conditions; the available specifications are not a comparative camera test.
How do the processors and software support compare?
Samsung names the A27’s processor as Snapdragon 6 Gen 3, manufactured on a 4 nm process. For the M36, its India product page lists an octa-core CPU with 2.4 GHz and 2 GHz clock speeds but does not name the platform in the cited specifications. Without comparable independent testing, these details do not support a reliable claim that one phone is faster.

Samsung advertises six OS upgrades for the M36 and lists its security-update validity through December 31, 2031. For the A27, Samsung says it will receive up to six generations of OS and One UI upgrades and up to six years of security updates from its initial global launch. The wording and reference dates differ, so do not treat the statements as proof that support ends on the same date. Samsung also says it may change the M36’s update plans.
What durability difference does IP64 make?
Samsung gives the A27 an IP64 rating. Its announcement says the rating is based on a laboratory spray test, warns that resistance can diminish with wear and does not recommend beach or pool use. IP64 should not be read as a promise of permanent water resistance or protection against every kind of water exposure.

The cited M36 specification text promotes Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection but does not establish an IP rating. That is a limit of the specifications cited here, not evidence that the phone has no water-resistance rating anywhere in its full official documentation.

Samsung announced these A27 prices on June 30, 2026, with availability beginning July 3, 2026. The announcement also described a ₹3,000 bank/UPI cashback and financing options; those were launch terms, not confirmation of active offers today. Check current listings for matching memory and storage configurations, and compare listed prices separately from cashback, trade-in value and other conditional discounts.
Samsung Galaxy M36 vs Galaxy A27 5G: which is better?
The specifications do not establish one universal winner. The M36 lists an 8 GB/128 GB model on Samsung’s India page and has higher stated resolution for its ultrawide and front cameras. The A27 has a named Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 platform, a stated IP64 rating, and a broader set of launch-price configurations. Neither the camera resolution nor the processor label alone proves a better real-world experience.
Choose between them by checking the current price for the exact configuration you want, confirming availability and weighing the feature that matters most to you. In particular, do not use the A27’s launch price as a current price or infer a price gap without a live, comparable M36 listing.
