The MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ is the more modern connectivity platform: it supports 5G, while the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 is an LTE chipset. Their CPU and GPU specifications differ, but the available benchmark evidence does not establish a controlled performance winner between the two.

How the CPU and GPU specifications compare
CPU configuration
The Dimensity 6100+ pairs two Cortex-A76 cores, clocked up to 2.2 GHz, with six Cortex-A55 cores, up to 2.0 GHz. Snapdragon 665 uses eight Kryo 260 cores and lists a maximum CPU clock of 2 GHz. The different core designs and configurations make a direct speed ranking from core counts or clock rates alone unreliable.

MediaTek specifies a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU; Qualcomm specifies an Adreno 610. Those names identify different graphics platforms, but the published specifications do not provide a controlled test comparing the chips under the same game, phone design, graphics settings, and thermal conditions. They therefore do not establish which will deliver better gaming performance in actual phones.

5G versus LTE: the clearest practical difference
The Dimensity 6100+ supports 5G as well as 2G, 3G, and 4G, and MediaTek identifies its modem as Release 16. Snapdragon 665’s listed X12 modem is LTE-only. If 5G access is a requirement, the Dimensity 6100+ has the clear specification advantage; an LTE chipset cannot provide 5G connectivity.
MediaTek lists peak downloads up to 3.3 Gbps for the Dimensity 6100+, while Qualcomm lists LTE downloads up to 600 Mbps for Snapdragon 665. These are vendor-stated platform maxima, not expected everyday speeds. Network coverage, local bands, carrier conditions, and the phone’s implementation affect what a user can actually receive. MediaTek’s July 11, 2023 Dimensity 6000 series launch announcement also identifies support for up to 140 MHz 2CC 5G carrier aggregation.
What the process and feature claims do—and do not—show
MediaTek describes the Dimensity 6100+ as using TSMC N6, a 6 nm-class process; Qualcomm lists Snapdragon 665 at 11 nm. Process labels are manufacturing specifications, not direct measurements of battery life. They cannot, by themselves, establish how long a particular phone lasts: battery capacity, display, software, radio use, and device design also matter.

The same caution applies to camera, display, and charging capabilities in the table. A supported camera resolution or display refresh rate is a platform ceiling, not a promise that every phone using the chipset will include that feature or produce a particular image quality. The phone maker’s sensors, screen, firmware, and component choices shape the final experience.

NanoReview lists user-submitted Dimensity 6100+ results: one Geekbench 6 entry dated August 15, 2026 reports 675 single-core and 1,791 multi-core, while AnTuTu 12 entries dated September 14 and 17, 2026 report 608,209. These are observations from submitted devices, not a controlled head-to-head test against Snapdragon 665, and they should not be treated as scores every Dimensity 6100+ phone will achieve. A CPU Monkey comparison page also surfaced, but the inspected information did not establish a comparable dataset with matched benchmark versions, handset configurations, and conditions. Consequently, neither the published specifications nor these user-submitted results justify a single numeric performance verdict for the two chips.
Which one should guide a phone purchase?
Use the chipset comparison to identify a connectivity distinction and platform capabilities, not as a complete ranking of phones. For a specific purchase, compare the actual handsets and check:
- Whether the phone supports the 5G bands used by your carrier and region.
- Its price, software support, memory and storage configuration, battery capacity, and display.
- Independent testing of the handset’s gaming, battery, camera, and thermal behavior, rather than assuming the processor specification settles those questions.
A phone built around the Dimensity 6100+ may offer 5G, but its overall value and real-world performance still depend on the device. The Snapdragon 665 remains an LTE platform; whether an LTE phone is suitable depends on the buyer’s network needs and the specific handset.
