The wattage gap matters for running cost estimates: the UK page says 300 W, the French sheet 305 W and the Altroconsumo listing 255 W. Use the figure from the documentation for the unit you are actually buying. Tank capacity and room coverage are the two specifications most likely to differ by region, so confirm them before relying on either.
Declared capacity versus measured capacity
Dehumidifier capacity figures are only meaningful alongside the conditions they were measured under. Two different kinds of number are published for this model, and they should be read differently.
The manufacturer’s declared figure
The De’Longhi UK page carries the headline line “Remove up to 14 litres of excess moisture in 24 hours”, with a footnote reading “(1) 30°C/80% R.H.”. The technical table on the same page gives 14 L/24 h in normal mode at 32°C/80% RH. The two references differ by 2°C, so quote the technical-table wording if you need precision. Either way, the figure describes a warm, humid test condition, and a cooler or drier room will generally extract less water. This is the standard way capacity ratings work, not a hidden caveat, but it means 14 litres is a ceiling under test conditions rather than a daily promise for a damp basement.

Altroconsumo labels the model as lab-tested and lists a measured extraction of 7.70 L/24 h against a declared 13.92 L/24 h. The accessible page does not show the test temperature, humidity, duration or method, and the detailed results sit behind an access prompt. Without those conditions, the 7.70 L figure cannot be treated as a like-for-like rebuttal of the manufacturer’s rating, and the gap between the two numbers should not be taken as a verdict on the machine. What it does show is that the measured output in that test was well below the declared rating. Readers who need the full test protocol should request it from the publisher directly.

Features and what they do
Continuous drainage
The manufacturer lists a continuous-drainage facility and says the drainage pipe is included. You can run the unit without emptying the tank by connecting that pipe to a drain or a suitable outlet. You do not need to buy a hose separately to use this feature. The UK listing does not describe the drainage fitting’s dimensions, so check the manual if your setup needs a specific fitting.
Tank control
The UK listing names tank control among the features, but it does not explain how the control behaves. Confirm in the manual whether the unit stops when the tank is full, and whether a full tank triggers a warning, before relying on it for unattended operation.
Filtration
De’Longhi describes three filtration stages: a dust pre-filter for larger particles, a removable allergen filter, and an active-carbon filter intended to help with unpleasant odours. These are product features. The listing does not offer independent evidence of their performance, and it does not make medical claims. Treat the allergen filter as a convenience for dust and fine particles, not as a substitute for other allergy management.

De’Longhi reports that the unit uses a minimum of 30% recycled plastic. This is a manufacturer claim and has not been independently verified.

The manufacturer lists noise at 40 dBA, and the French sheet also gives 40 dB(A). The UK page does not state which mode that figure applies to, and the Altroconsumo listing shows no noise value, so treat 40 dBA as a manufacturer figure rather than a measured result for your room.
Room coverage is the most important gap. The French sheet gives a treated volume of 65 m³, but that figure does not appear in the UK technical table. Measure your room in cubic metres (length × width × height) and compare the result with the capacity you need, keeping in mind that a rating taken at 32°C/80% RH will not apply to a room that is cooler or drier.

When the De’Longhi UK product page was viewed on 7 October 2026, it showed £189.99 with an RRP comparison. The page itself notes that a suggested-price comparison is not necessarily a discount, and prices change, so check the current price and stock before buying. The Altroconsumo listing showed a €191 price with an Amazon purchase link at the same review date. That confirms a purchase path in Italy at that time, but it does not confirm the listing is the same market version or that it is currently in stock.
Maintenance and support
The allergen filter is removable and will need replacing or cleaning over time. No replacement part number or compatible listing for this model was published. Use De’Longhi’s international support center to find the manual and safety instructions for your model, and match any replacement filter to your regional model and the official parts documentation rather than to a generic listing. The support centre lists the DEXD214RF model code and gives access to the instruction and safety manual.
Who this model is for
