Dell announced a starting preorder price of $3,799.99, putting it above the starting prices reported for several other RTX Spark laptops. The premium comes with Dell’s claimed 3.2K Tandem OLED display and XPS design, but the shared RTX Spark name does not make those laptops equivalent—and independent tests of this XPS are not yet available.
What is Dell’s first RTX Spark XPS?
It is the Dell XPS 16 Creator Edition, which Dell identified on October 7, 2026, as its first XPS laptop built around NVIDIA RTX Spark. Dell positions it for creative work, local AI development, and gaming. Those are the companies’ intended use cases, not independently verified performance results.

RTX Spark combines a Grace CPU and a Blackwell RTX GPU with unified memory. Dell says the system includes NVIDIA’s CUDA software stack, which may matter to developers and creators whose tools rely on CUDA. NVIDIA describes the platform as a way to bring local AI and graphics capabilities to laptops; those broad platform claims should not be read as a measured result for this particular XPS.
Which RTX Spark configuration does the XPS use?
Dell advertises configurations with up to a 20-core Grace CPU, a 6,144-core Blackwell RTX GPU, and 128GB of unified memory. “Up to” matters: NVIDIA lists two laptop platform configurations, and the maximum figures are not guaranteed in every XPS model or market. Confirm the exact SKU before buying.

NVIDIA lists a 45–80W TDP range for the laptop platform. That is a platform specification, not a complete measurement of the XPS’s power draw, cooling, or performance. NVIDIA also claims support for models up to 120 billion parameters with a one-million-token context and describes performance of up to one petaflop FP4. These are NVIDIA platform claims, not XPS benchmark results or guarantees for every XPS configuration.

What does Dell say the premium buys?
A high-spec OLED display
Dell specifies a 3.2K Tandem OLED panel, 100% DCI-P3 coverage, factory calibration to Delta E below 2 with Pantone Validation, peak brightness of up to 1,000 nits, and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 600. These are Dell’s specifications; they are not independent measurements of a retail unit. Compare them with the display on any alternative you are considering, rather than assuming the shared RTX Spark platform means the screens are comparable.
Creator-focused connectivity
Dell lists HDMI 2.1b and a full-size SDXC v7.1 card reader. Those ports may be useful if your workflow connects to an external display or transfers files from a camera card. Check the complete port list and any adapter needs against the exact laptop configuration before purchase.

Access to CUDA and local AI workflows
Dell and NVIDIA position RTX Spark around local AI, creative applications, and gaming, with CUDA among the platform’s software components. That could make the system relevant if your specific development or creative tools depend on NVIDIA’s stack. It does not establish how quickly those applications will run on this XPS, or whether a given model fits in memory at a usable speed.
Is the Dell XPS worth paying more for?
The available specifications support a case for the XPS if its claimed Tandem OLED display, full-size SDXC reader, and XPS design matter to your work, and if the exact configuration meets your memory and software needs. The lower reported starting prices of competing laptops are a reason to compare them, not proof they offer the same hardware or value.
