Choose the Dell Pro 7 KB746 if the number pad matters
The KB746 is compact relative to a full-size keyboard, but it is not as narrow as the MX Keys Mini. Its 361 mm width makes room for an integrated numpad, which can be useful for frequent number entry in spreadsheets, finance or data-heavy work. Dell also lists proportionately sized arrow keys, adjustable tilt, quiet low-profile scissor keys and 13 programmable buttons.

Dell lists Bluetooth/RF connectivity, a USB-A receiver and USB-C charging. The package contents include the keyboard, a USB-C charging cable, Dell Secure Link USB receiver and documentation. Dell lists compatibility with Windows 10/11, macOS 11 or later, ChromeOS, Ubuntu Linux, Android 9 or later, and iPadOS 14 or later. Check the regional product listing and keyboard layout before ordering.

Dell describes the KB746 as “a quiet keyboard powered by long-lasting rechargeable supercapacitor technology.” That is Dell’s product-page description; it is not an independent battery or noise test. The US listing showed a price of $59.99 when accessed on October 4, 2026, but price and availability can change.

Choose the Logitech MX Keys Mini if you want less width or backlighting
At 295.99 mm wide, the MX Keys Mini takes up about 65 mm less horizontal desk space than the Dell. That narrower footprint comes with a clear compromise: no number pad. Logitech’s business data sheet describes a 79-key layout with integrated arrow keys and switching between up to three paired computers using Easy-Switch.
Logitech lists Bluetooth Low Energy, Logi Bolt compatibility, USB-C charging and backlighting. Its published battery estimates are 10 days with backlighting or five months with it off. These are manufacturer estimates, not results from a comparable test against Dell. The business data sheet gives a 10-day full-charge estimate for the MX Keys Mini for Business; do not assume business-bundle contents or features apply to every standard retail listing.

Listed platform support includes Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, Linux (basic support), iOS, iPadOS and Android, with minimum versions on Logitech’s specification page. Check that page and the specific retailer listing for the compatibility and bundle details relevant to your setup.

Dimensions and battery figures are vendor specifications. They do not establish which keyboard feels better to type on or lasts longer in a particular person’s use. The two battery estimates also cannot be treated as a direct comparison because their test conditions are not stated as equivalent.

Which one fits your setup?
- Pick the Dell KB746 if an integrated numpad, a receiver included in the listed package, adjustable tilt or quiet low-profile keys are priorities. Dell’s quiet-key description is not a comparative measurement.
- Pick the MX Keys Mini if you need the narrower footprint, want backlit keys, or value the business model’s documented ability to switch among up to three paired computers.
- Decide based on battery needs cautiously. The published estimates are not based on established common conditions; Logitech’s figure also changes with backlighting.
- Try before judging typing feel if possible. Official specifications do not establish comparative comfort, ergonomics, long-term durability in use or typing preference.
