戴尔在同一份 2017 年资料中宣称，SC5020 相较 SC4020 可实现最高 45% 的 IOPS 提升和最高 3 倍带宽。这些是厂商比较性宣传数字；资料未提供足以推断真实应用表现的独立基准测试细节，因此不能据此判断某一工作负载会获得相同提升。
支持多少硬盘，能扩展到多大？
机箱自带 30 个 2.5 英寸盘位。戴尔列出的扩展柜为 SC420（24 个 2.5 英寸盘位）和 SC400（12 个 3.5 英寸盘位），每个阵列最多支持 16 个扩展柜。规格表给出的系统上限是每阵列最多 222 块硬盘、最高 2 PB 原始容量；这两个数字是配置上限，不代表可用容量，也不保证任意硬盘、扩展柜或 RAID 组合都能达到。戴尔规格表未将原始容量等同于用户可用容量。

实际可用空间取决于盘型与数量、扩展柜配置、RAID 布局及系统状态。采购时应以设备实际配置和可核实的容量为准，而不是只看产品系列的最大值。
主机连接选项取决于哪些配置？
SC5020 支持 FC、iSCSI 和 SAS 前端协议，并支持多协议同时使用。戴尔列出的端口上限包括最多 8 个 32 Gb 或 16 Gb FC 端口、最多 8 个 1/10 Gb iSCSI 端口，或最多 8 个 12 Gb SAS 端口；实际端口数量和类型取决于安装的 I/O 配置。规格表还提到，可选 FS8600 为块存储之外提供文件/NAS 服务。戴尔接口规格不应被理解为每台 SC5020 都配有全部端口。

分层、快照和复制能做什么？
戴尔描述的 Data Progression 可依据策略在最多三种介质层之间移动数据，支持用户定义配置文件，也允许将卷固定在特定层。规格表还列出精简配置、精简快照、可选重复数据删除与压缩，以及 RAID 0、1、5、6、10、10 DM 和动态配置 RAID 层。这些是功能说明，不是特定应用能达到某个延迟、IOPS 或容量缩减比例的证明。

SC5020 的性能评测应看什么？
戴尔资料介绍了产品能力和相对 SC4020 的厂商性能主张，但没有提供独立测试结果。因此，不能仅凭规格表得出 SC5020 对某个具名竞品更快或更划算的结论。对实际部署而言，至少需要在相同配置和测试条件下考察以下项目：

购买二手 SC5020 前检查什么？
戴尔支持页面提供 SC5020 手册及 Storage Center、Dell Storage Manager 等软件和固件资源，但资源列表本身并不能证明某台二手设备仍有支持资格。购买前应针对具体设备核实：
- 服务标签对应的支持资格，以及能否获得所需服务。
- 控制器、I/O 卡、扩展柜和硬盘的实际配置与部件型号。
- 硬盘健康状态、控制器状态，以及卖家能否提供可核实的状态记录。
- 当前 SCOS 版本和可行的升级路径；确认相关许可、配件是否随设备提供。
- 卖家的退货条款、保修范围，以及设备是否包含完成部署所需的部件。

SC5020 适合什么样的评估？
对需要企业级块存储、且能够管理 SAN、冗余路径和存储软件生命周期的团队，SC5020 的价值应按实际配置来衡量：先确认主机连接与容量是否匹配，再验证数据服务和支持条件。它的功能清单显示了可选能力范围，却不能独立回答它对当前工作负载的性能表现、二手价格是否合理，或某台设备是否可获得支持。缺少这些具体信息时，最可靠的结论是把它视为一款规格丰富但需要严谨核验的企业阵列，而不是仅凭型号或最大容量作出采购判断。
