Dead by Daylight has three distinct crossover announcements: a new Stranger Things character chapter, a dedicated Jason chapter, and a planned Diablo cosmetics Collection. They are not three equivalent character releases. Behaviour’s official chapter listing confirms Stranger Things Chapter 2 for January 27, 2026; Behaviour announced Jason’s chapter for June 16, 2026, a date now past; and its June anniversary recap listed the Diablo Collection for October 2026 without naming its items or confirming that it launched.
How the three collaborations differ
The key distinction is what players were told to expect: Stranger Things and Jason were announced as character chapters, while Diablo was announced as a Collection. A chapter introduces playable characters; a Collection is not, on the available announcement, a new Killer or Survivor chapter.

What is in Stranger Things Chapter 2?
Behaviour’s January 6, 2026 announcement named Vecna, also known as Henry Creel, as the Killer, with Dustin Henderson and Eleven as Survivors. The official chapter listing gives January 27, 2026 as the chapter date. This is a second Stranger Things chapter, following the original 2019 chapter featuring The Demogorgon, Steve Harrington, and Nancy Wheeler.

What did Behaviour announce for Jason?
Behaviour’s May 26, 2026 article announced a dedicated Dead by Daylight: Jason chapter, with Jason as a Killer, and gave June 16, 2026 as its release date. The official chapter listing and Steam DLC listing corroborate that date. Because it has passed, it is most precise to describe it as the announced release date; the cited announcements do not verify live availability for every platform or storefront.
Behaviour previewed Jason’s gameplay around stealth, teleporting across the map, tracking Survivors by their footsteps, using throwable projectiles or hooks, and a jump-scare attack capable of breaking objects. The same article previewed three outfits: Backwoods Terror, Death Forsaken, and Depths of Despair.
Is Diablo coming to Dead by Daylight?
Behaviour’s June 15, 2026 tenth-anniversary recap announced a Diablo Collection planned for October 2026 and described it as bringing new demonic forces to the Fog. The announcement classified it as a Collection, not a new Killer or Survivor chapter.

In its May 14, 2026 anniversary retrospective, Behaviour reported 51 Survivors—or 52 counting Baermar—and 41 Killers, excluding Legendary Outfit variations. This is a dated 2026 publisher snapshot, not a current live count. It also helps clarify why the formats matter: the Jason and Stranger Things announcements add named playable chapter characters, while the Diablo announcement does not establish a new roster addition.
What remains uncertain?
- Diablo: the available announcement establishes the planned month and Collection format, but not the final items, exact release day, or launch outcome.
