MINTROCKET has listed a crossover DLC called DAVE THE DIVER – Subnautica 2 Content Pack on Steam. It sends Dave to Proteus, an ocean moon from the Subnautica 2 world, and requires the Dave the Diver base game. The release date is listed as “To be announced,” and the listing shows no price. Those are the confirmed facts so far; the details below separate what is known from what is not.
What the announcement says
The Steam product page names MINTROCKET as both developer and publisher and classifies the item as downloadable content. Its description calls the pack an “all-new crossover adventure” in the world of Subnautica 2. The page’s official wording reads: “DAVE THE DIVER dives into the mysterious world of Subnautica 2 in an all-new crossover adventure.” It then adds: “Explore the unfamiliar ocean moon Proteus, filled with unfamiliar creatures and valuable resources waiting to be discovered.”

The page also teases a visitor at the Blue Hole and unspecified surprises, including encounters Dave may not welcome. Those lines are teasers. The listing does not name the visitor, identify any specific creatures, or describe mechanics or story length.

Do you need Subnautica 2 to play it?
The Steam listing requires the Dave the Diver base game. It does not say whether owning Subnautica 2 is necessary. Until an official update clarifies this, treat the base game as the only confirmed prerequisite and do not assume the crossover needs the Subnautica 2 game.
Release timing, price and platforms
There is no date, price or platform list beyond the Steam listing for this pack. Do not rely on a launch window or price from third-party coverage until MINTROCKET or Nexon publishes one. Because the page is a store listing, its date field can change without a separate announcement, so check the Steam page directly before purchasing.

Physical Dave the Diver editions
Nexon announced Japanese physical Complete and Collector’s Editions for PS5 and Nintendo Switch 2. According to that announcement, the Complete Edition includes the base game and all DLCs released at that point, and the Collector’s Edition adds physical merchandise. The announcement does not confirm that either edition includes the Subnautica 2 Content Pack, and it said reservation and release timing would be shared later. Do not buy a physical edition expecting this pack to be included.
Recent Dave the Diver DLC for comparison
Nexon announced that the In the Jungle DLC launched on June 18, 2026, for PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. Its Japanese announcement describes roughly ten hours of content and says the base game is required. That DLC is separate from the Subnautica 2 pack, and its date, length and platform list do not apply to the crossover.
