The campaign guide identifies Dark Waters as a critical story mission at Courtsilius. Its objective is to track down the Coil’s leader.
The mission walkthroughs describe a first encounter around a control console and canal, followed by underground exploration and a second combat encounter. Reinforcements appear during the fighting, and the mission concludes with a cutscene after the Coil forces are defeated.
