DarazHost vs InMotion Hosting: Which Is the Better Fit?

DarazHost and InMotion are best compared plan by plan. Check renewal costs, site limits, included features, and guarantee terms before choosing shared hosting.

Neither DarazHost nor InMotion Hosting is a proven overall winner: the available provider pages do not establish a comparable, independently measured performance advantage. For a fair choice, compare equivalent shared-hosting plans, including the initial term, renewal price, site and resource limits, included features, and exit terms.

Compare shared hosting with shared hosting

DarazHost’s cited offer is for shared hosting. InMotion Hosting sells shared hosting alongside WordPress, reseller, VPS, and dedicated products. Compare DarazHost’s shared tiers with an InMotion shared plan—not with a VPS or dedicated offer, which is a different service category. InMotion’s official pricing page lists multiple categories and term-based offers; its shared-hosting page describes the shared service as intended for personal and small-business websites.

What the listed shared plans include

DarazHost

DarazHost’s shared-hosting page lists three tiers and displays annual rates as follows. These are advertised prices, not guaranteed future rates; confirm the offer and full checkout terms before paying.

Plan Displayed annual rate Listed site capacity Listed storage and bandwidth
Starter $1.95 per month on annual billing 1 website 10 GB SSD; 100 GB bandwidth
Business $3.95 per month on annual billing 5 websites Higher-tier storage and bandwidth are labeled “unlimited,” subject to fair use and normal website usage
Premium $5.95 per month on annual billing Multiple websites Higher-tier storage and bandwidth are labeled “unlimited,” subject to fair use and normal website usage

The page also displays higher rates for semiannual and monthly billing. It ties domain eligibility to annual billing and distinguishes setup fees and advanced security by tier. The cited information does not give the exact semiannual and monthly amounts here, so check the current plan page and checkout rather than extrapolating from annual prices.

DarazHost describes its plans as including features such as cPanel, SSL, backups, support, SSD storage, LiteSpeed, one-click installs, security features, and a 30-day money-back guarantee. Availability and terms can differ by tier. These are vendor descriptions, not independent evidence of speed, security effectiveness, support quality, or actual uptime.

InMotion Hosting

InMotion’s pricing page displays introductory and renewal prices by product and billing term. Its shared-hosting page advertises free migration for cPanel sites, a domain, SSL, email, and one-click WordPress installation. Confirm which items apply to the particular shared plan and term being considered; broad feature descriptions do not establish that every plan includes every item.

Compare the real cost, not just the advertised starting rate

DarazHost’s displayed annual prices are monthly equivalents for an annual billing term, and the page also lists different rates for monthly and semiannual billing. InMotion shows term-based introductory prices and renewals. For the exact plan on each side, record the amount due now, the length of the commitment, the renewal rate, and any setup or add-on charges. A low first-term rate is not enough to establish which host costs less over time.

  • Check the renewal amount and when it takes effect.
  • Include setup fees, paid add-ons, and any domain charge that applies to the chosen term.
  • Compare the same billing length where possible; otherwise calculate the cost over the same period.
  • Review cancellation and refund conditions before purchase. Do not assume a guarantee or refund window applies identically across plans.

Assess capacity and included operations against your site

For a single new brochure site, a one-site entry plan may be sufficient if its storage and bandwidth policy fit the expected workload. For several small sites, compare the number of permitted websites and the higher-tier fair-use terms rather than treating “unlimited” as unlimited capacity. If you manage WordPress or client sites, weigh migration, email, backups and restore access, control panel, SSL, and setup features only where they meet a real operational need.

For a workload that needs VPS or dedicated resources, evaluate InMotion’s relevant product against other services in that category. It is not a like-for-like comparison with DarazHost’s shared plans. The cited pages do not provide a matched resource specification for every candidate plan, so verify limits and technical terms directly before deciding.

Uptime and speed claims do not identify a winner

DarazHost advertises a 99.9% uptime guarantee on its product page. InMotion’s pricing page shows a 99.99% guarantee for some offers. These are vendor claims, and the cited information does not establish that the InMotion figure applies to the exact shared plan being compared or that either provider achieved those levels in an independent test. The pages also do not provide a comparable, independently measured head-to-head speed result.

Before treating an uptime guarantee as a meaningful difference, read its scope, exclusions, and remedies for the specific plan. A stated guarantee is not the same thing as measured availability, and advertised speed language is not a substitute for testing comparable sites under the same conditions.

Choose based on your priorities

DarazHost may fit a low-cost shared-hosting need

Consider DarazHost if its exact tier meets your site-count and resource requirements, its quoted term fits your budget, and its listed features cover what you need. Check the fair-use policy for higher-tier storage and bandwidth, as well as the plan-specific domain, setup, security, backup, and refund terms.

InMotion may fit a migration or upgrade-path need

Consider an InMotion shared plan if its exact offer provides the migration or other included features you need, or if its broader set of hosting categories is relevant to your likely growth. Verify the introductory commitment, renewal price, resource limits, and applicability of every advertised feature before comparing its total cost with DarazHost.

Use this checklist before checkout

  1. Select the same hosting category and a plan suited to your site.
  2. Write down the price due now, billing term, renewal price, and extra fees for each exact plan.
  3. Compare website count, storage, bandwidth policy, and any other resource limits.
  4. Confirm which migration, backup and restore, email, SSL, control-panel, and WordPress features are included.
  5. Read support channels and hours, refund conditions, uptime-guarantee remedies, and how you can retrieve backups or move away.
  6. Recheck the provider pages and checkout terms immediately before purchase; offers and terms can change.

What the available information cannot settle

The provider pages cited here do not establish comparative support response times, independent customer-support outcomes, independently tested uptime or speed, or which data center is best for a particular visitor location. Those points remain unknown; they should not be inferred from marketing claims or the number of hosting products a provider sells.

Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
