DapuStor H3200 SSD Review: Specs, Performance, and Buying Advice

The DapuStor H3200 is an enterprise PCIe 3.0 NVMe SSD in U.2 and AIC configurations. Compare the variants, test evidence, endurance specifications, and deployment checks before buying.

The DapuStor H3200 is an enterprise PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe 1.3 SSD, not a consumer M.2 drive. It may fit a server or storage host built for the exact U.2 or AIC/HHHL variant, but capacity, connection, workload, and seller warranty all need checking before purchase. DapuStor’s specifications describe the hardware; StorageReview’s independent results are from one 3.84TB sample tested in 2020, not a current market comparison.

What the DapuStor H3200 is

DapuStor places the H3200 in its Haishen3 enterprise NVMe family. The manufacturer lists 3D eTLC NAND, PCIe 3.0 x4, and NVMe 1.3, in U.2 and AIC/HHHL configurations. Those interfaces and form factors make it a host-compatibility decision, rather than a straightforward upgrade for a desktop M.2 slot. See DapuStor’s H3200 product specifications and the Haishen3 English datasheet.

The product page lists capacities of 0.96TB, 1.92TB, 3.84TB, and 7.68TB, but not every capacity is offered in every listed form-factor grouping. Its U.2/AIC and U.2-only variants also have different published figures, so a model name alone is not enough to identify performance.

Published specifications by capacity and variant

The following figures are DapuStor specifications, not independent test results. The product page cautions: “因系统硬件、设置或软件不同,实际测试结果可能存在差异。” (“Actual test results may vary because of differences in system hardware, settings, or software.”)

The supplied product-page figures do not establish sequential-write or random-write values for the U.2/AIC 1.92TB entry, or random-read values for the U.2-only entries; those cells should not be inferred from nearby capacities. DapuStor also lists typical and maximum power by capacity, without values reproduced here, and typical random 4K read/write latency of 85/15 microseconds for one variant grouping and 81/12 microseconds for the U.2 grouping. Confirm the precise variant against the product page before using those latency figures.

What the independent review found

StorageReview tested a 3.84TB H3200 and published its review on May 29, 2020. In that test setup, the drive reached 788,014 IOPS in 4K random reads at 158.3 microseconds and 274,362 IOPS in 4K random writes at 462 microseconds. For 64K sequential workloads, the review recorded 3.3GB/s read and 1.4GB/s write; it described the sequential-write result as near the bottom of its comparison set.

The review also reported strong results in tested SQL and Oracle workloads, but its SQL Server application workload was weaker. Reviewer Lyle Smith’s overall conclusion was: “Overall, the DapuStor H3200 was a bit uneven in performance: it was solid during our synthetic tests but performed behind the pack in the SQL Server application workload.” Read the full StorageReview H3200 SSD review for its methodology and results.

These are dated measurements from one capacity and one review configuration. They do not establish how another capacity or host will perform, nor do they support a current 2026 ranking against competing enterprise drives. For a purchase or deployment comparison, match the test workload and host conditions and distinguish synthetic throughput from application-level behavior.

Endurance, reliability figures, and warranty

DapuStor specifies endurance at 1 DWPD and lists an MTBF of two million hours. These are manufacturer specifications, not independently verified reliability outcomes or a prediction that an individual drive will operate for two million hours. The English Haishen3 datasheet, published approximately in 2024, states a five-year warranty; that document does not establish the terms offered by a particular current seller, in every region or channel.

Check these points before buying or deploying

  1. Identify the exact variant. Confirm capacity and whether the unit is U.2 or AIC/HHHL. The form factor determines how it can be installed, and the published performance figures vary across capacity and variant.
  2. Verify the host connection. Check that the server, backplane, slot, and cabling support the selected form factor, PCIe 3.0 x4 connectivity, and NVMe. A U.2 drive does not become compatible merely because a system has an available PCIe slot; an AIC card likewise needs a suitable slot and host support.
  3. Size for the workload. Compare the capacity-specific sequential write, random IOPS, power, and latency specifications with the actual workload. Sequential bandwidth and random I/O are different measures; neither alone predicts database or virtualized application performance.
  4. Verify the seller and service terms. Confirm authenticity, stock, region, and the warranty that applies to the exact unit before ordering. The sources establish no current listing, authorized seller, price, or channel-specific warranty.
  5. Use like-for-like evidence for alternatives. Compare enterprise drives at the same capacity and interface, on a comparable host and workload, with endurance and warranty evaluated on the same basis. The 2020 review lineup is historical, not a current competitor shortlist.

Who should consider the H3200?

The H3200 is worth considering when an enterprise host explicitly supports the selected U.2 or AIC variant, its capacity-specific behavior matches the workload, and the purchase comes with verifiable service terms. It is a poor fit for buyers seeking a drop-in M.2 upgrade or anyone choosing solely from headline read speed or an old benchmark. DapuStor’s specifications and the 2020 review provide useful reference points, but deployment fit and purchase terms depend on the precise system and seller.
