CyberFOX has acquired Optimize365, a Microsoft 365 security posture management product, to add continuous tenant monitoring and hardening to its portfolio. CyberFOX announced the deal on October 8, 2026. It did not disclose the financial terms. Its stated aim is to cover the Microsoft 365 layer of the environments IT teams manage, alongside the endpoint, identity, password, DNS and network products it already sells.
What CyberFOX acquired
CyberFOX describes itself as a cybersecurity software provider serving IT teams. Before this deal, its lineup included privileged access management, password management, AI-powered DNS filtering and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA). In June 2026 it also acquired SASE provider Timus Networks. The Optimize365 acquisition extends that lineup into Microsoft 365 tenants.

The strategic argument, in CyberFOX’s words, is that IT teams face an access attack surface that now stretches from endpoints and identities to Microsoft 365 and beyond. CEO David Bellini said the goal is “a comprehensive suite of security platforms that protects the full access attack surface, without adding more complexity.” Chief Revenue Officer Adam Slutskin described Optimize365 as “a natural extension of our mission to give lean IT teams the tools they need to stay ahead of threats.” These are company positioning statements made at announcement time. The announcement does not independently show that the acquisition improves security outcomes.
What Optimize365 does, according to CyberFOX
CyberFOX’s product page calls Optimize365 a Microsoft 365 security posture management platform. The following table lists each capability the company attributes to the product. Every entry is a vendor-described capability, not an independently verified result.

| Capability | What CyberFOX says it does |
|---|---|
| Baseline measurement | Measures tenant settings against CIS, NIST, or custom baselines. |
| Drift detection | Detects configuration drift from the baseline over time. |
| Impact prediction | Predicts which users, devices, apps and services a proposed change could affect. |
| Remediation | Supports automated remediation of findings. |
| Rollback | Supports control-level rollback, so a single control can be reverted without undoing unrelated changes. |
| Control evidence | Generates control evidence and framework mapping for audit work. |
| License intelligence | Flags licensing gaps and unused or dormant licenses. |
The acquisition announcement adds that the product helps teams identify configuration drift, prioritize risky changes and automate remediation. Together, these points describe a tool meant to run continuously rather than as a one-time audit.
Why the Microsoft 365 layer matters to CyberFOX’s customers
Microsoft 365 tenants change constantly. Administrators adjust conditional access, sharing permissions, mail rules and app consents, and each change can weaken a control without anyone noticing. CyberFOX’s pitch is that its existing identity and access products protect who gets in, while Optimize365 watches the tenant configuration that determines what happens after sign-in. That is a reasonable product rationale, but it is CyberFOX’s framing, and buyers should test it against their own environment rather than assume coverage.
