It is a handheld blue-laser 3D scanner with onboard computing and a touchscreen, so Creality says users can capture and review scans and handle common processing tasks without a separate PC. Its advertised accuracy is up to 0.02 mm for blue-laser scanning, but Creality says that figure comes from laboratory testing and actual results depend on operating and environmental conditions.
What is the Sermoon P1S?
Creality describes the Sermoon P1S as a professional all-in-one blue-laser 3D scanner for work such as reverse engineering, automotive applications, field digitization and scan-to-model projects. The company announced worldwide availability on September 22, 2026.

| Blue-laser cross lines | 34, according to Creality’s 2026 P1S launch announcement | 22, according to Creality’s P1 product page |
| Volumetric accuracy | 0.02 mm + 0.08 mm/m, according to Creality’s 2026 P1S launch announcement | 0.02 mm + 0.06 mm/m, according to Creality’s P1 product page |
| Memory | 16 GB LPDDR5X, according to Creality’s 2026 P1S launch announcement | 24 GB, according to Creality’s P1 product page |
| Weight | 807 g including battery, according to Creality’s 2026 P1S launch announcement | 830 g, according to Creality’s P1 product page |
Does the Sermoon P1S work without a PC?
Yes. Creality says the P1S can scan, display coverage on its 6-inch touchscreen and perform common processing tasks using its onboard computing and local storage. That is what “PC-free” means here: a computer is not required for those described tasks, rather than being excluded from the workflow.

- Al Ease Flow: After scanning, use the built-in processing tools to fuse, align, mesh, and apply color textures in just a few taps. For beginners, the "One-Click Process" in CrealityScan 4 automates everything – from point cloud to finished 3D model.
- Pro-Level Hardware & Performance- With a 16GB RAM, 256GB storage, WiFi 7, and a high-speed Qualcomm processor, the Sermoon P1S handles complex scans smoothly. It supports multiple laser line patterns (single, parallel, cross) for different scenarios, ensuring optimal detail and speed.
The same launch announcement lists standalone, wireless-PC and wired-PC modes. A desktop computer remains an option when users want to work in a connected setup. Creality lists Wi-Fi 7 and USB 3.0 connectivity. These are manufacturer descriptions; they do not establish how a particular scan workflow performs in practice.
Onboard hardware
Creality lists an 8-core Qualcomm CPU rated up to 3.36 GHz, an Adreno 740 GPU and an FPGA, alongside 16 GB LPDDR5X memory and 256 GB UFS 4.0 storage. The company says the 807 g device includes two replaceable 3,300 mAh batteries.

How accurate is the Sermoon P1S?
For blue-laser scanning, Creality specifies up to 0.02 mm accuracy and volumetric accuracy of 0.02 mm + 0.08 mm/m. The first is the advertised accuracy figure; the second expresses a distance-related volumetric measure. They are different specifications, not two ways to state a guaranteed result.

The launch announcement does not establish that every object, setup or scan will achieve 0.02 mm, and the stated blue-laser figure should not be applied to NIR mode. No independent P1S accuracy test is established by the available launch information.

Which scanning modes does it offer?
Creality lists four modes and associates them with different kinds of geometry:
| Mode | Creality’s stated use |
|---|---|
| 34 cross blue-laser lines | Larger surfaces |
| Seven parallel blue-laser lines | Finer surface features |
| One blue-laser line | Recessed geometry such as holes and grooves |
| NIR structured light | Contour and detail capture on small-to-medium objects |
Creality also gives maximum capture rates that depend on both mode and connection. These are manufacturer-stated maxima, not a guarantee for every object or environment.
