It has 50mm neodymium drivers and a detachable omnidirectional microphone, according to product and review listings. Corsair rates battery life at up to 30 hours at 50% volume; that is a manufacturer claim, not a guarantee for every volume level or use pattern. How it performs in reviews
Comfort and sound
TechRadar’s Kara Phillips says she used the headset for six weeks across PC and PlayStation gaming, Discord, and Google Meet, and praised its comfort and sound. PC Gamer likewise characterizes it as light and comfortable. Meristation credits the floating headband and fabric pads for comfort, while noting that the materials feel less premium than those on more expensive headsets. Microphone and controls
TechRadar describes the microphone as clear, a useful point for voice chat and calls. The same review criticizes limited customization and a step-style volume control in place of a wheel. PC Gamer also frames the headset as a basic option rather than one with richer controls and features. If detailed audio tuning and more tactile controls matter to you, those are meaningful tradeoffs.
Compatibility and Dolby Atmos
Corsair lists PC, Mac, PlayStation, mobile, and Nintendo Switch compatibility for the wireless model. The reviewed compatibility listings do not establish Xbox support, so do not assume it will work with an Xbox. Check the exact console and connection method against Corsair’s regional product listing before purchase. Corsair says Dolby Atmos is available on PC only and requires the Dolby Access app. GamesRadar+ similarly notes that Dolby Atmos customization relies on the Windows app, making the feature most relevant to PC users. Price and availability depend on region
When accessed in 2026, Corsair’s US Carbon page showed $49.99 on sale against an original $79.99 price; its UK White page showed £49.99 against an original £69.99. These are separate regional snapshots, not current guaranteed prices. Corsair said availability began June 2, 2026, through its webstore and worldwide authorized retail network, and advises checking its site for current regional pricing. The US Carbon wireless version is SKU CA-9011401-WW. Corsair also lists a White wireless version in the UK as CA-9011402-WW. Confirm the SKU and connection type on the product page: the wired HS35 v3 is a different model.

It makes the most sense if you want one headset for switching among a PC, phone, and supported console, and prioritize low weight, basic comfort, and a clear voice-chat mic over extensive customization. Its three connection modes add flexibility, but the simple controls and limited software options are part of the bargain. The headset is a less obvious fit if you need verified Xbox compatibility, sophisticated onboard controls, or premium-feeling materials.

For context, TechRadar’s comparison table listed the HS35 v3 at 250g and 30 hours, the Turtle Beach Stealth 500 at 233g and 40 hours, and the JBL Quantum 360X at 253g and 22 hours. Those are the figures in that publication’s review-era table, not current prices or independently normalized battery tests; the comparisons are useful only as a broad sense of listed weight and battery claims.
