CORSAIR’s compatibility chart lists several wired models that connect through a 3.5 mm audio jack, and its HS75 XB Wireless is designed to pair wirelessly with Xbox One. A USB or wireless headset that works with a PC or PlayStation is not automatically compatible with Xbox One.
Check the headset model and connection type
Start with the exact model name, then check CORSAIR’s “Headset Compatibility and Console Support” chart, updated September 24, 2025. Look for an Xbox One listing and confirm the connection mode shown for that model. CORSAIR’s guidance says its console-compatible headsets generally connect to a controller through a 3.5 mm audio jack; the HS75 XB Wireless is a model-specific exception that pairs directly with the Xbox console.

- Wired 3.5 mm: CORSAIR lists models including the HS35 Stereo, HS45 Surround, HS50 Pro Stereo, HS60 Pro Surround, and Void Elite Stereo for Xbox One via an analog connection. Check the chart entry and its footnotes for the exact headset.
- Xbox-specific wireless: CORSAIR identifies the HS75 XB Wireless as licensed for Xbox One and provides console pairing instructions.
- Other USB or wireless headsets: Do not infer Xbox One support from PC or PlayStation support, or from the fact that a USB receiver works with another device. Confirm that CORSAIR lists the exact model and connection mode for Xbox One.
Connect a compatible wired headset
- Check whether the headset’s plug is 3.5 mm and whether your Xbox One controller has a matching audio port.
- Connect the headset to the controller’s audio port. For a model with detachable or different connection options, follow the model-specific CORSAIR instructions and use only a mode CORSAIR lists for Xbox One.
- Test game audio and microphone/chat audio. If one does not work, check the Xbox audio routing settings and the headset’s exact compatibility notes.
If the plug does not fit
Some Xbox One controllers have a 2.5 mm audio port rather than a 3.5 mm port. CORSAIR says an Xbox One Stereo Headset Adapter is needed if the headset plug does not fit that controller. It is a conditional adapter, not something every player needs.

Pair the HS75 XB Wireless
- Press the Xbox connect button on the console.
- Hold the headset’s power button for about 10 seconds to begin pairing.
- Look for the “Headset assigned” message on the console as confirmation that pairing succeeded.
These are CORSAIR’s directions for the HS75 XB Wireless; they should not be treated as instructions for other CORSAIR wireless headsets.

Fix missing game audio or chat sound
If a compatible headset connects but game sound is missing, CORSAIR’s Xbox One instructions recommend checking Settings > All Settings > Display & sound > Volume > Chat Mixer and selecting Do Nothing. If audio is going to the TV or speakers instead, check Party Chat Output and select Headset. Xbox menu labels can change with software updates, so the wording may differ on a particular console.
Test game audio and party-chat audio separately. A successful physical connection or wireless pairing does not by itself confirm that both are routed as you want.

Dolby Atmos is a separate setup
Basic headset compatibility and Dolby Atmos support are separate questions. For the HS75 XB, CORSAIR says to pair the headset with Xbox One first, then install the Dolby Access app from the Microsoft Store; the app should detect the headset. CORSAIR also notes that some headsets may require a separate Dolby Access purchase if an activation code was not included. Check the purchase details for your specific model rather than assuming the feature is included.

Before buying or troubleshooting
- Match the full model name against CORSAIR’s Xbox One compatibility chart.
- Confirm the listed connection method; PC or PlayStation USB/wireless support alone does not establish Xbox One support.
- Check the controller’s audio-port size if you plan to use a wired 3.5 mm headset.
- Verify microphone and chat behavior as well as game audio.
- Check whether Dolby Access is included or requires a separate purchase if Dolby Atmos is important to you.
