Contexto is a daily secret-word game: enter guesses and use the game’s feedback to work toward the answer. On the official Contexto site, you can also choose Previous games for earlier puzzles or Unlimited to keep playing. The official page shows those options but does not state the daily reset time or explain the hint mechanic; those details below are attributed to a third-party guide.

What is Contexto?

Contexto is a word-guessing game in which the goal is to find a hidden word. The official site describes the objective as “Find the secret word” and presents a daily game. Its interface also includes date navigation, Previous games, and Unlimited play. These options are visible at contexto.me.

What do the numbers next to guesses mean?

According to the third-party Contexto.games how-to guide, each guess receives a semantic rank: it reflects how closely the guess is related in meaning to the secret word, rather than how similar it is in spelling. In that guide’s description, rank #1 is the answer. Treat this as an explanation from that guide; the captured official page does not spell out the ranking rules.

Use guesses as probes of a topic or association. If a word ranks closer, try nearby concepts, categories, or related words; a spelling variation alone may not help if the meaning is unchanged.

How do hints work?

The same third-party how-to says a hint reveals a word that ranks closer to the answer than your best guess. That can narrow the direction without showing the secret word outright. The captured official page does not document the hint mechanism, its availability, or a fixed number of hints, so do not assume every version or session offers the same hint settings.

When does the daily Contexto puzzle reset?

The official site’s captured interface identifies a daily game but does not state when it changes. The third-party Contexto.games how-to and FAQ report that the daily puzzle resets at midnight UTC. This is secondary-source timing information, not a reset time stated in the captured official interface. Your local clock may show a different hour; midnight UTC is 00:00 UTC.

How do I start another game or play an older puzzle?

Use the options displayed on the official Contexto site:

  • For another round: select Unlimited. The official interface exposes this option for continued play.
  • For an earlier daily puzzle: select Previous games or use the displayed date navigation to find an older game.

The official page supports those routes, but the captured text does not describe how far back the archive goes or whether every past date is available.

Where can I find today’s answer?

The captured official page does not show the current answer or document an official answer-reveal process. The third-party how-to explains the ranking and hint approach, but it is not evidence of an official answer page. If you want to solve the puzzle yourself, use your guess ranks and any available in-game hint; avoid treating an answer published by another site as an official reveal from Contexto.
