If you want to repeat only a section, a third-party looper may offer A–B controls. YouTube Premium is optional and offers more than looping; any trial is account-dependent, asks for a payment method, and renews at the then-current monthly price unless you cancel before it ends. Check the specific offer and billing terms shown at signup rather than assuming a trial or contract length.
Which option should you choose?
| Option | What it does | Best fit | Important caveat |
|---|---|---|---|
| YouTube’s built-in repeat | Repeats an individual video or playlist. | Repeating a whole video or playlist without a separate service. | The documented repeat controls are not A–B segment controls. |
| LoopTube.co | Its homepage describes a free service that does not require an account. | A simple web-based full-video loop. | The available description gives limited detail about segment controls. |
| LoopTube.io | Its service description lists full-video and A–B looping, speed controls, keyboard shortcuts, and local storage of loop settings. | Repeating a passage or adjusting playback speed. | These are provider-described features, not independently verified behavior. |
| TubeRepeat | It says it is free, requires no account, has no premium tier, and uses YouTube’s embedded player rather than downloading videos. | A no-account web workflow, including touch-oriented controls described in its FAQ. | It says videos with embedding disabled may only play on YouTube.com. |
| Listen On Repeat extension | The Chrome Web Store listing describes an extension that opens a video on ListenOnRepeat for looping. | People who prefer a browser-toolbar action. | The listing showed version 3.0, updated November 11, 2024; that date does not establish current reliability of every feature or the underlying site. |
| YouTube Premium | A paid membership with conditional trial offers and recurring billing after a trial unless canceled. | People who want Premium’s broader benefits as well as looping. | Looping alone does not require Premium. Trial eligibility, duration, offer, and price vary. |
The service descriptions above are claims made by the providers, not results of independent testing. An always-free tool is also different from a time-limited trial: the free loopers described here do not advertise trial periods.

Loop a whole YouTube video or playlist without a separate service
YouTube’s Help guidance describes repeat controls for individual videos and playlists. The exact interface can change; use the current YouTube Help instructions if a control has moved.

- For an individual video, open the player’s context menu and select the loop/repeat control.
- For a playlist, use the playlist repeat control. If you want one item repeated rather than the whole playlist, use the playlist’s repeat-one control when available.
On a TV or console
- Open playback settings and choose the Repeat control.
These controls repeat full videos or playlists; they are not the same as marking start and end points for one passage.

Repeat only part of a video
For language practice, music, sports technique, or a tutorial, look for a looper with A–B markers: set a start point and an end point, then repeat the interval. LoopTube.io describes A–B looping and playback-speed adjustment. Its service also lists keyboard shortcuts and local storage of loop settings; confirm the current behavior on the site before relying on a saved loop. Do not assume that every looper has these options.
If a third-party player cannot play a video, the creator may have disabled embedding. TubeRepeat says such a video may only play on YouTube.com; use YouTube’s own player in that case.

What “free trial” and “no annual contract” mean for YouTube Premium
YouTube says trial offers are available only to eligible users, may vary in length, and require a payment method at signup. At the trial’s end, the membership renews at the then-current monthly price unless you cancel before the trial ends. Eligibility can depend on prior membership history and how often you have used a trial. Check the offer shown while signed in and read its terms before starting.
YouTube’s paid-service terms describe recurring plans as charging each billing period until canceled. Promotions may vary by country, platform, duration, and eligibility. The described trial terms do not establish a universal annual commitment, but they also do not guarantee that every reader will see the same monthly plan, trial duration, or offer. Verify the billing period and renewal details on the specific checkout screen.

- Seamless streaming for any room: With Roku Streaming Stick 4K, watch your favorite entertainment on any TV in the house, even in rooms farther from your router thanks to the long-range Wi-Fi receiver.

- Compact without compromises: Our sleek design won’t block neighboring HDMI ports, so you can switch from streaming to gaming with ease. Plus, it’s designed to stay hidden behind your TV, keeping wires neatly out of sight
If all you need is repeat playback, Premium is unnecessary: try YouTube’s built-in controls first. Consider Premium only if its other membership benefits justify the paid plan for you.
How to compare loopers before using one
- Whole video or passage: confirm whether you need full-video repetition or A–B start/end markers.
- Playback adjustments: check for speed control and any option to retain loop settings.
- Account and cost: distinguish a provider’s stated free service from a trial that expires or a paid plan that renews.
- Playback route: check whether the tool relies on YouTube’s embedded player; embedding restrictions can prevent playback there.
- Device and interface: decide whether YouTube’s native player, a separate website, or a browser extension best fits how you watch.
- Paid-plan terms: verify eligibility, trial end date, renewal price, billing period, and cancellation method at signup.
If you meant keeping a YouTube channel live 24/7
That is a different task from looping a video while watching it. StreamNeo keeps a YouTube channel live from uploaded videos or a playlist; it does not provide a viewer-side repeat control or stream from a camera. Upload a recording, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. The cloud keeps the stream running without a computer or home connection staying on. It streams the uploaded video as made, up to 4K 60fps, at one flat price per slot, and automatically recovers if YouTube drops the stream. The first day is free with no card. Monthly billing is $9.99 per month. See StreamNeo, or start the free day.
