Colorlib’s Signup Form V12 is a free Bootstrap signup-form template, not a complete account or authentication service. Its social icons are visible controls; they do not establish that Google, Facebook, or another provider is connected. Colorlib lists password confirmation and an image-upload function that can be activated among the template’s features.
What Signup Form V12 includes
Colorlib describes V12 as “A modern free sign up form with social icons that uses Bootstrap to ensure great operation on mobile and desktop.” The listing also identifies the main signup fields, password confirmation, and an image-upload function that can be activated. These are the publisher’s descriptions, not results from independent browser or device testing. Colorlib’s Signup Form V12 page provides the template details and a download link.

An icon or button only presents an interface. A working signup form with social login buttons needs a configured identity provider and application code to start and complete the authentication flow, handle redirects or popups, and process the result. V12’s listing does not establish that these integrations are included in the downloadable template.

Provider setup varies by platform. Microsoft’s Angular external-tenant tutorial, for example, covers configuring identity providers, matching a redirect URI to the registered application, adding provider buttons to signup and sign-in forms, and handling popup flows. It demonstrates Apple, Facebook, Google, and custom OIDC providers, including LinkedIn as an OIDC example. These are implementation examples, not a provider list for V12. Microsoft’s external-tenant tutorial also describes checking provider and redirect settings when authentication fails.
Salesforce likewise instructs administrators to configure authentication providers before adding its Social Login component. Wix documents Google and Facebook signup and login buttons through its Member Authentication app. Those platform examples reinforce that provider availability and setup depend on the system you use. What you still need to build or configure
Treat the template as a starting point for presentation. A production account flow also needs application-side handling for credentials, account storage, and authentication. If you want social sign-in, configure the chosen identity provider and implement its flow; adding or styling an icon is not a substitute.

Before choosing a template or platform, check:
- Whether the signup experience is only markup and styling or includes a functioning authentication flow.
- Which identity providers are supported and what configuration they require.
- Whether you can change the fields and appearance to fit your product.
- How the form behaves on the browsers, devices, and versions your audience actually uses.
- What the license allows and who will maintain the implementation.
Improve the form before launch
Google web.dev recommends considering whether an account is necessary at all, reducing clutter, and using browser-friendly form fields. For example, use autocomplete="email" for an email field and autocomplete="new-password" for a new-password field. Support password managers, and test the finished form across the devices, platforms, browsers, and versions relevant to your users. These are implementation checks, not verified properties of V12. Google web.dev’s signup form guidance also points to separate guidance for federated login and secure credential management.

Is V12 a fit for your project?
V12 may suit a project that needs a Bootstrap-based signup interface to customize. It is not, based on the published description, a ready-made authentication backend or proof of working social login. If you need an end-to-end account system, compare solutions by their included authentication flows and provider setup—not by whether their signup screens display social icons. The available documentation does not establish that V12 outperforms alternatives or that it has been verified on every device.
