How to customize the template
Work in the downloaded HTML and CSS rather than treating the preview as a finished service. Colorlib’s general customization guidance is to edit the HTML and CSS in a code editor, then review the result in a browser.
- Replace the image: Change the image reference to a suitable portrait, project image, or other visual that fits your site.
- Update the interface text and links: Adjust labels and destinations so they match your product and its account flow.
- Style the page: Change CSS values for colors, fonts, spacing, borders, and the image presentation to fit your brand.
- Connect the form: Set its submission destination to your actual authentication implementation. Editing a form’s appearance or action alone does not create secure login logic.
Check the result on both desktop and narrow screens. A split image-and-form composition can need adjustments when the available width is limited; verify that the image, fields, labels, and submit control remain usable.

Does it authenticate users by itself?
No. Colorlib states that a login-page template is front-end only. It displays a form, but it does not verify credentials, create sessions, or manage accounts. To make sign-in operational, connect the interface to working server-side login logic or an authentication service.
Send credential submissions over HTTPS and validate passwords on the server, as Colorlib advises. Any social sign-in, passkey, Face ID, or SSO controls shown in a demo also require integration with the relevant provider; their presence in the design does not make them functional.
