It is worth considering if you value infant setup choices, a large-capacity basket and the option to add sibling seating; its weight and width deserve a close look if you often lift a stroller or navigate tight spaces.
What the Vista V3 is designed to do
The Vista V3 is sold as a stroller system that can be configured for one child and expanded with additional seating or a ride-along board. UPPAbaby says the system can accommodate up to three children when used with accessories. Those add-ons are not all included with the stroller, so a future multi-child setup means checking both compatibility and the additional purchase cost.

The manufacturer lists a one-step fold that stands when folded, never-flat tires, an adjustable handlebar and an extendable, water-repellent UPF 50+ canopy. These are product-page specifications, not independent test findings. See UPPAbaby’s Vista V3 product page for the current US listing.
How large and heavy is the Vista V3?
UPPAbaby lists the US frame and toddler seat together at 27.6 lb: 19.8 lb for the frame and 7.8 lb for the seat. The stroller measures 36.5 × 25.7 × 39.5 in unfolded, and 16.3 × 25.7 × 33.8 in folded with the seat attached. The manufacturer lists a 30 lb basket limit. These are listed specifications; they do not establish how much usable space the basket provides for a particular family’s belongings.

The same-brand comparison chart puts the Vista V3 at 27.6 lb and 25.7 in wide, versus 25.5 lb and 22.8 in for the Cruz V2. The chart lists the Vista as expandable to three children and the Cruz to two. That makes the Cruz a narrower, lighter option on those stated dimensions, while the Vista’s distinguishing feature is its broader expansion capacity—not proof that one stroller is a better fit for every household. Can you use it from birth?
UPPAbaby says the toddler seat is intended for children from 3 months to 50 lb when used without an infant insert or bassinet. For use from birth, the manufacturer lists the Infant SnugSeat or Bassinet accessory as options. It also lists direct attachment for the Aria and Mesa infant car seats. Check the current regional instructions and the exact infant-seat model before purchase; compatibility and setup requirements can vary by model and market. How does it work for a second child?
UPPAbaby lists the RumbleSeat V2+ and RumbleSeat V3 as expansion options, along with the PiggyBack ride-along board. The manufacturer says the system can be configured for as many as three children with accessories, but the precise arrangement depends on the products used. Confirm that a specific seat or board is compatible with the V3 before buying, particularly when considering a used accessory; do not assume that every Vista-generation part fits.

The Bump’s contributing writer Dani Wolfe described trying single, double, bassinet and PiggyBack configurations, and praised storage and configuration choice while noting limited bassinet positions in double mode. Consumer Reports’ Angela Lashbrook characterized the stroller as large and heavy and reported difficulty with tight turns and curb cuts when testing the double setup. Consumer Reports also said its lab testers found better maneuverability than several other single-to-double models. These are reviewer and test observations tied to the configurations described, not a guarantee of how the stroller will feel for every caregiver or route. What should you compare before buying?
- Your likely configuration: If you expect to use one seat for years, assess the single setup on its own. If you expect another child or want a ride-along board, include the compatible accessory in your cost and space planning.
- Lifting and storage: Consider whether lifting a 27.6 lb frame-and-seat setup and storing a 25.7 in-wide stroller suit your car, home and daily routine. The folded dimensions are useful for checking fit, but measure your own storage space.
- Newborn needs: Decide whether you need the Bassinet, Infant SnugSeat or a compatible infant car seat. Confirm the model and regional instructions rather than assuming every infant seat attaches.
- Where you will push it: If your routes involve narrow turns, curb cuts or frequent double-mode use, try the relevant setup in person if possible. Independent observations describe specific test conditions, not all routes.
- Total purchase: Check what the stroller listing includes and price separately sold accessories needed for your intended arrangement. Availability, included items and retailer terms can change.
Warranty and model details to verify
UPPAbaby’s current product page lists a three-year warranty, while the manual surfaced for the stroller describes a two-year manufacturing-defect warranty. The applicable term is therefore not clear from those materials alone. Confirm the warranty for your country, purchase date and circumstances directly with UPPAbaby before relying on a specific duration.
