Deliveroo and Coco Robotics announced a UK robot-delivery partnership on 5 October 2026, with Canary Wharf planned as the first location during October. The announcement did not confirm that deliveries had started by 7 October, so customers should check the Deliveroo app for live availability.
When will Coco robots start delivering in Canary Wharf?
The partners said the service would begin in Canary Wharf during October 2026. That was a planned start, not confirmation of a first live delivery. Canary Wharf Group describes the local deployment as a 12-month trial. Deliveroo’s announcement and Canary Wharf Group’s release were both dated 5 October 2026.

Which restaurants are named for the launch?
The initial merchant examples named by the partners are Patty&Bun, bakery Signorelli, and Beam, a cafe and restaurant in Wood Wharf. The announcements do not establish that every location or menu item at these businesses is eligible.
Ole & Steen, Royal China, and Din Tai Fung are mentioned as possible later additions, not as confirmed launch options. No dates are given for those merchants. Check the Deliveroo app, where robot delivery may appear only for selected partners and menu items.

Will the robot bring an order to your door?
Not necessarily. Under Deliveroo’s UK terms, customers enter their address and set a map pin as usual, but Deliveroo confirms a safe, accessible place the robot can reach. That handoff point may be different from the entered address, so the service does not guarantee delivery to a front door.
How robot delivery is offered
Robot delivery is not available to every customer or for every order. Deliveroo’s terms say it may be offered only in selected locations, from selected partners, and for selected menu items; availability also depends on weather and road conditions. If it is not offered for an order in the app, the announcements give no alternative booking method.
