Sejda: a browser converter plus developer options
Sejda’s online HTML-to-PDF converter accepts a URL, an HTML file, or HTML code. Its settings include paper size, orientation, viewport width, margins, delay, and whether to use the print stylesheet. Compare controls against the page you need to save
Before choosing, check whether the provider exposes the settings your page needs. For example, a long article with lazy-loaded images may need extra time before capture; a page designed for printing may depend on print CSS; and a fixed-width dashboard may need a particular viewport.
- Paper and layout: Compare paper size, margins, orientation, zoom, and viewport width. CloudConvert documents page size, margins, and zoom; Sejda exposes size, orientation, viewport width, and margins.
- Dynamic content: CloudConvert documents JavaScript support and waiting for a CSS selector. Sejda provides a delay setting. These controls can help when content appears after the initial page load, but do not guarantee a complete capture.
- Print styling: Sejda explicitly offers a setting for using the print stylesheet. Confirm the output when the page has different screen and print layouts.
- Headers and footers: CloudConvert lists these among its API settings. Check the relevant workflow’s documentation for the exact options you need.
Limits and prices depend on the workflow

For an automated workload, estimate your expected volume using each provider’s own plan or calculator. A credit allowance, a per-hour task cap, and API concurrency describe different constraints; none alone tells you how many successful PDFs a particular workload will produce.

A URL converter has to retrieve and render the target page. CloudConvert describes Chrome-based rendering, JavaScript support, custom fonts, and selector-based waiting; Sejda offers a delay setting and reports failure when a page cannot be reached or loaded. Pages with delayed content, access controls, or intermittent availability can therefore need configuration or fail outright. That is a practical inference from documented controls and failure modes, not a guarantee about any specific URL.

- Use the same representative URL in each service.
- Match viewport, orientation, paper size, margins, print-style settings, and any delay or wait condition as closely as the tools allow.
- Inspect whether the output includes the full content, including images and material loaded after the initial page render.
- Check page breaks and typography in the resulting PDF, especially for tables, wide layouts, and content near page boundaries.
- Confirm that the provider can reach the URL without credentials or other access the service cannot supply.
Do not use a sensitive page until you have checked the applicable privacy, retention, and data-processing terms for the service. The cited product material does not establish a privacy winner between the two.
Common problems and practical fixes
The page fails to load
Check that the URL is publicly reachable and correctly formed. Sejda says it reports a failure if a page cannot be reached or loaded. A page behind a sign-in, access control, or unstable origin may not be available to an external converter; use a page the service can access or choose a workflow that supports the required access configuration.

Parts of the page are missing
Content may load after the initial render. Try a longer delay in Sejda or, in CloudConvert, wait for a relevant CSS selector. Recheck lazy-loaded images and content that appears only after scrolling or interaction; the documented controls do not prove that every such page can be captured completely.

Compare viewport width, paper size, margins, orientation, and zoom. If the site has a print stylesheet, test Sejda’s print-stylesheet option. Re-run the same page with matched settings before attributing a difference to the service itself.

The free allowance or API plan is insufficient
Identify the exact limit for your workflow—credits, pages per conversion, tasks per hour, requests per hour, or concurrent jobs—then estimate your volume against the current provider terms. Do not treat one service’s quota as equivalent to another’s.
