Chrome is reportedly working on a checkbox that would let users delete multiple saved AI Skills from the browser’s Delete browsing data dialog. The feature is still in development, according to a report published October 8, 2026, and there is no confirmed release date or Chrome version. For now, the report says users can manage Skills individually at chrome://skills/browse.

What are Chrome Skills?

The report describes Skills as reusable prompts users save for particular tasks, which Chrome can use with AI features such as Gemini in Chrome. Instead of recreating a prompt each time, a user can save it as a Skill and return to it later. Windows Report says Chrome has a dedicated Skills page for managing these saved prompts: chrome://skills/browse. The report does not establish whether that page or Skills are available to every Chrome user.

How the proposed bulk-delete control would work

According to Windows Report, Chrome is considering adding a Skills checkbox to the Delete browsing data dialog. A user would choose a time range, select Skills along with any other data types they want to remove, and confirm. The report says the selected range would be based on when each Skill was last updated: a shorter range would include Skills updated during that period, while “All time” would target all eligible user-created Skills. This is a description of a feature in development, not confirmed or tested behavior.

What would—and would not—be deleted

Windows Report says the control would apply to user-created Skills. First-party and enterprise-provided Skills would not be deleted because they are not treated as the user’s data. The same report says the Skills checkbox would not be selected by default, and might appear when the Skills feature is enabled even if the profile contains no Skills. These implementation details have not been independently confirmed.

What happens if Skills sync is on?

Windows Report says that when Skills sync is enabled, deleting Skills may propagate through sync to the user’s account and other devices. The report does not establish the precise timing or behavior across devices. Treat bulk deletion as potentially account-wide if you use Skills sync, rather than assuming it affects only the current browser profile.

Can you delete multiple Skills in Chrome now?

The October 8, 2026 report presents the checkbox as work in progress; it does not confirm that the bulk-delete option has been released. It gives no Chrome version, supported platforms, geography, rollout schedule, or release date. Until an official Chrome source confirms availability, do not assume the checkbox will appear in your browser. The individual-management page reported by Windows Report is chrome://skills/browse; the report does not document a current bulk-deletion procedure.

The Chromium source result located for this topic shows general Delete browsing data interface elements, including a time-period selector and data-type controls, but does not verify a Skills checkbox. For the reported feature details, see Windows Report’s October 8, 2026 article. The general Chromium interface context is available in the Chromium source.
