Start by narrowing choices to a comfortable grip and hand fit, then compare weight, connection, battery needs, software and specifications. The Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 and Razer Viper V3 Pro are two lightweight wireless options to consider, but neither is a universal fit.
Start with fit, not the spec sheet
Before comparing sensor numbers, consider how the mouse sits in your hand and how you hold it. Hand size, grip preference and whether you need a left- or right-handed shape all affect comfort and control. An esports label cannot tell you whether a particular shell will fit you.

If possible, handle a mouse before buying or check the seller’s return policy. A lighter mouse may suit your preference for quick movement, but weight alone does not establish comfort or better performance. A gaming mouse pad is an optional way to provide a consistent surface; the right surface depends on your preference and setup.
Compare the two wireless examples
These models illustrate different points in a practical shortlist. The available comparison describes both as high-performance lightweight wireless mice, but it does not establish that either will fit every player.

| What the cited sources establish | Logitech lists HERO 2 sensor performance up to 44,000 DPI, tracking over 888 IPS and LIGHTSPEED wireless with up to 8 kHz polling. RTINGS describes the Razer as lighter, with slightly better build quality and mouse feet in that comparison. RTINGS comparison |

Use the Logitech if its shape and controls suit you and you value its stated sensor calibration options. Consider the Razer if you are comparing lightweight wireless designs and the attributes RTINGS highlights matter to you. The comparison does not provide enough detail to infer exact differences in battery life, dimensions or sensor performance.
Understand DPI and polling rate in context
DPI (dots per inch), often used interchangeably with CPI in mouse settings, describes how far the pointer moves relative to physical movement at a given sensitivity. A higher maximum gives you a wider setting range; it does not prove the mouse will feel better or improve your aim. Pick a setting that feels controllable, and judge the mouse by its fit and use in your games.

Polling rate is how often the mouse reports its position to the computer, expressed in hertz. Logitech lists up to 8 kHz for the G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2. Tom’s Guide says 1,000 Hz is already plenty for competitive gaming and characterizes the difference at higher rates as minimal for most users, with professional esports as a possible exception. That is the guide’s editorial view, not a guarantee that every player or setup will experience the same result. Tom’s Guide gaming-mouse guide
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteUse this checklist to choose
- Check the shape against your hand. Consider hand size, grip and left- or right-hand use; do not use a competitive-gaming label as a substitute for fit.
- Decide how much weight matters to you. Treat it as a preference to test alongside comfort and control, not as a performance guarantee.
- Match the controls to your games. Check button count and placement against the actions you need. More buttons are useful only if you can reach and use them comfortably.
- Choose wired or wireless deliberately. For wireless models, verify battery runtime and charging details for the exact current model before purchase; those figures are not established for these examples here.
- Separate useful settings from headline maxima. Look for adjustments you will actually use, such as sensitivity calibration, and do not treat maximum DPI or polling rate as a ranking of real-world performance.
- Check the current offer and support in your region. Price, availability and support can change; compare current local listings rather than relying on an unverified value ranking.
Configure the Logitech’s sensor if you choose it
Logitech says G HUB provides sensor calibration for the G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2, including independent X/Y sensitivity adjustment and lift-off tolerance. These settings let you customize how the sensor behaves; they are not a substitute for finding a comfortable shape or sensitivity.

- OPTICAL MOUSE SWITCHES GEN 2 — With zero unintended misclicks these switches provide crisp, responsive execution at a blistering 0.2ms actuation speed for up to 70 million clicks
- Use independent X/Y adjustment only if you want different sensitivity along the two axes.
- Adjust lift-off tolerance if you want to change how the sensor responds when you lift and reposition the mouse.
- Change settings gradually and keep the configuration that feels consistent in your own games.
What the available comparisons can—and cannot—tell you
The Logitech figures above are manufacturer specifications. RTINGS supplies a direct qualitative comparison, but the cited comparison excerpt does not expose all detailed measurements. Tom’s Guide supplies editorial context on polling rate. None of these sources establishes a hands-on comfort verdict, a universal best choice, a current price ranking or an improvement in an individual player’s results.
