What the Axis saucepan includes
Scanpan lists a satin stainless-steel interior, internal capacity markings, a dome-shaped tempered-glass lid, a helper handle and permanently secured handles. The secondary handle should make a full pan easier to steady when lifting, while the markings let you check volume in the pan. Scanpan says the saucepan works with all energy sources, including induction. The Axis collection page also describes the range as compatible with induction and other energy sources: Scanpan Australia’s Axis collection.

The oven-temperature wording is not consistent enough to assign a clear limit to each configuration. The collection page says the range is ovenproof to 200°C; the individual saucepan listing says 220°C/250°C with/without lid, without making clear which figure applies with the lid. Check the product manual or confirm the limit with Scanpan before putting the pan or its glass lid in an oven.
Care and cleaning
Scanpan labels the saucepan dishwasher safe but recommends handwashing to extend its useful life. Its care guidance also advises washing the pan in hot, soapy water before first use and avoiding harsh scourers, sudden temperature changes and excessive heat.
