To change an alarm tone on a Samsung Galaxy, open Clock, go to Alarm, open the alarm, tap Alarm sound, choose a Ringtone, then return and tap Save. The exact choices can vary by device and software version.
Change the sound for an existing alarm
- Open the Clock app and select the Alarm tab.
- Tap the alarm you want to edit.
- Tap Alarm sound, then tap Ringtone.
- Tap a tone to preview and select it.
- Return to the alarm settings screen and tap Save.
Samsung documents this route for Galaxy devices; labels and available tones may differ across models and software versions. Samsung Canada’s alarm instructions show the saved-alarm ringtone steps.

Use a Spotify playlist as the alarm sound
If the option is available on your device, open or create an alarm, tap Alarm sound, select Spotify, sign in if prompted, and choose a playlist. Return to the alarm screen and save. Samsung documents this integration for devices running One UI 3 or later, but it may not appear on every device or configuration. Samsung does not establish in its support instructions whether a paid Spotify subscription is required. Samsung’s Spotify features guide explains the setup.

Alarm volume is separate from the ringtone
One UI 7 includes an alarm Volume setting that can apply the same level to all alarms or let you set a different level for each one. This changes loudness, not the selected tone. The instructions are specific to One UI 7 and were updated on January 29, 2025. See Samsung Gulf’s One UI 7 alarm-volume guide.
