Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse is scheduled to launch on October 15, 2026, for PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S and Steam. Konami describes it as a 2D action-exploration game; its whip-based movement, combat and secrets also make “Metroidvania” a useful genre shorthand. The game stars Rose Belmont in 1499 Paris, and a demo is available ahead of launch.
When does Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse come out?
Konami lists October 15, 2026, as the release date. The game was announced on February 12, 2026, as a collaboration between Konami, developer Evil Empire and advisory studio Motion Twin. Konami’s official game site and its announcements describe the project as 2D action-exploration rather than using “Metroidvania” as its official genre label.
