Casio Oceanus Manta vs. Citizen Attesa: Which Titanium Radio-Controlled Watch Is Better?

The better choice depends on the exact reference, fit and time-setting system you want: Bluetooth-linked Multiband 6 on the Casio example or Global Radio-Controlled timekeeping on the Citizen.

Neither collection is the automatic winner. For a useful comparison, look at the exact watch: Casio Oceanus Manta OCW-S7000 versus Citizen Attesa CB3046-76E. The Casio stands out for its documented Bluetooth-linked functions and 9.5 mm listed thickness; the Citizen offers a 39 mm case and Cal. H128 Global Radio-Controlled timekeeping. Your location, preferred fit and most-used features matter more than the family names.

Which watches are being compared?

Oceanus Manta and Attesa are collections, not single models. Attesa includes both terrestrial radio-controlled watches and Satellite Wave GPS models, which use different time-setting systems. This comparison focuses on the Casio OCW-S7000 family and the Citizen Attesa CB3046-76E, identified in Citizen’s 2025 release as a Global Radio-Controlled model. Check the full reference and regional specification before buying: features can differ across variants.

Casio’s official OCW-S7000 page documents its Manta features, while Citizen’s June 17, 2025 release identifies the CB3046-76E and its key specifications.

How do their time-setting systems differ?

Casio: radio reception plus Bluetooth

Casio describes Multiband 6 as standard radio-signal reception from Japan, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany and China. The OCW-S7000 page also documents Bluetooth smartphone linking and app functions. Radio correction depends on receiving a usable signal; phone-based correction depends on a paired compatible phone and connection. Neither should be treated as a guarantee of automatic correction in every location or circumstance. Casio’s Oceanus technology page explains its systems.

Citizen: terrestrial radio control on this model

Citizen identifies the CB3046-76E as Global Radio-Controlled and specifies Cal. H128. That is the relevant Attesa example for a radio-controlled comparison.

GPS is an adjacent option, not the same feature

Some Attesa watches use Satellite Wave GPS rather than terrestrial radio control. Citizen’s releases for the CC4059-64L and CC4074-61W describe GPS models, not the CB3046-76E’s radio system. GPS may suit a different set of needs, but it should not be counted as equivalent radio reception. See Citizen’s September 4, 2024 GPS-model release and February 4, 2025 GPS-model release.

Which titanium construction should you prefer?

Casio describes titanium-carbide treatment and polished finishing on the Manta. Citizen calls its material Super Titanium and, in its February 2025 release, claims it is “at least 5 times harder than stainless steel.” That figure is Citizen’s manufacturer claim, not an independent side-by-side durability result. Neither material description establishes which watch will resist everyday wear better in your own use.

Which one is likely to fit better?

The CB3046-76E is listed at 39.0 mm in diameter and 9.7 mm thick; the OCW-S7000 page lists 9.5 mm thickness. Those figures do not settle comfort: diameter, lug-to-lug length, bracelet shape and wrist size all affect how a watch wears, and a complete matched dimension set is not established here. Check the exact Manta reference’s full dimensions and try both watches on if fit is a deciding factor.

How to choose between them

  • Choose the Manta OCW-S7000 if its documented Bluetooth-linked functions, world time and stopwatch suit how you use a watch, and its specific design and fit appeal to you.
