For a documented one-call batch submission, ScreenshotOne is the clearer fit: its POST /bulk endpoint accepts a list of screenshot requests. CaptureKit documents a feature-rich individual capture endpoint, but the API material cited here does not establish whether it has a separate bulk endpoint. That is a point to verify in CaptureKit’s current reference before choosing.
The practical decision is not simply which API has more options. Compare how you will submit and schedule work, your needed capture controls, request-start limits, and the billing unit for your expected successful, unique captures. Neither provider can be called faster, more reliable, or higher fidelity on the evidence cited here; this is a documentation-based comparison, not a head-to-head test.
At a glance: which API fits a bulk workflow?
| Need | Better-supported fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Submit many screenshot requests through a documented batch wrapper | ScreenshotOne | Its Bulk Screenshots documentation describes POST https://api.screenshotone.com/bulk with a list of requests. |
| Capture controls such as device emulation, selector capture, or scroll-to-load | Compare the exact options required | CaptureKit documents these options on its individual capture endpoint; ScreenshotOne bulk accepts regular screenshot options, with shared options and per-request overrides. |
| Build and pace a durable queue | Either, after checking account limits | ScreenshotOne exposes a one-minute request-start bucket through its usage API. CaptureKit says workspace API keys share quota and rate limits; check the live dashboard for account limits. |
| Choose by speed, uptime, or image fidelity | Not established | The cited official documentation provides no independent head-to-head measurements for those qualities. |
ScreenshotNeo is the alternative to try first if clean screenshots and billing only for clean shots are priorities: cookie banners, popups and chat widgets are removed before capture, and bot checks, blank pages and failed loads are not billed. It also offers an MCP server for AI agents and a free tier of 1,000 screenshots monthly without a card. See ScreenshotNeo.
How ScreenshotOne bulk submission works
The bulk endpoint wraps a list of screenshot request options. You can define options shared by all items and override them on individual requests. The key operational detail is that bulk work is lazy by default: submitting the batch returns screenshot URLs, and capture happens when those URLs are downloaded.
Choose deferred or advance execution
- Default, deferred: save the returned URLs and download them when your downstream system is ready. Plan for capture work to occur at download time rather than assuming the initial POST has rendered every page.
execute: true: ask ScreenshotOne to execute the requests before returning. Allow enough time for the captures to complete before expecting the results.
Bulk requests still consume the same one-minute request bucket as regular screenshot requests, according to ScreenshotOne’s bulk documentation. A batch wrapper is therefore a submission convenience, not an exemption from request-start limits.

Plan the queue around request starts
ScreenshotOne’s usage response includes concurrency.limit, concurrency.remaining and concurrency.reset. Despite the field name, these values describe how many screenshot requests may be started in the current one-minute bucket; they are not counts of simultaneous active browser renders. Use the Get Usage endpoint to pace the queue and respect its reset time.
For durable work that must survive worker restarts, ScreenshotOne’s guide suggests using a proper queue; it names Redis/BullMQ and SQS as examples. Keep your own job state, retry policy and result handling rather than treating a returned batch URL list as a durable work ledger.
What CaptureKit documents for bulk capture workloads
CaptureKit’s API reference documents an individual GET /v1/capture endpoint, with an API key sent in the x-api-key header. It documents one credit per capture call and controls including output format, full-page capture, optional scrolling, device emulation, viewport settings, caching and CSS selector capture. The CaptureKit capture reference is the place to check exact parameter names and supported values.

Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →The cited reference does not settle whether CaptureKit also offers a distinct batch endpoint. Do not interpret documentation of the capture endpoint as proof that a bulk endpoint does not exist. If single-call batch submission is a hard requirement, verify CaptureKit’s current API reference or ask the provider before designing around individual calls.

CaptureKit states that API keys in one workspace share plan quota and rate limits. Its plan documentation directs users to the live dashboard for account limits and says checkout shows the live amount before confirmation. See CaptureKit plans and pricing.
Compare documented capture controls, not feature-list length
For each provider, validate the features needed by your pages and downstream use. A site inventory with mostly static desktop pages has different requirements from one that needs mobile emulation, full-page scrolling or a specific element.
| Requirement | CaptureKit documentation | ScreenshotOne bulk documentation |
|---|---|---|
| Multiple URLs in one submission | Not established by the cited capture reference; verify current API documentation. | Documented list of requests on the /bulk wrapper. |
| Per-request differences | Capture controls are documented for individual capture calls. | Shared options can be overridden on each request. |
| Formats | PNG, JPEG/JPG, WebP and PDF are documented. | Bulk accepts normal screenshot options; check the API documentation for the format and options your account uses. |

Estimate capacity and cost using each service’s own billing unit
The figures below are provider-published plan snapshots identified in the 2026 materials cited here, not independent tests or a guarantee of current checkout prices. Recheck plan details and entitlements before committing. CaptureKit sells credits; ScreenshotOne lists screenshots and request-start limits. Do not assume one credit and one screenshot request are equivalent for every workflow.
| Provider and plan snapshot | Published monthly allowance and price | Published rate information |
|---|---|---|
| CaptureKit Free trial | 100 credits/month, $0 | Account-specific limits: check the live dashboard. |
| CaptureKit Starter | 1,000 credits/month, $7/month | Account-specific limits: check the live dashboard. |
| CaptureKit Pro | 10,000 credits/month, $29/month | Account-specific limits: check the live dashboard. |
| CaptureKit Ultimate | 50,000 credits/month, $89/month | Account-specific limits: check the live dashboard. |
| ScreenshotOne Free | 100 screenshots/month, $0 | Rate not stated for this plan in the cited snapshot. |
| ScreenshotOne Basic | 2,000 screenshots/month, $17/month | 40 requests/minute. |
| ScreenshotOne Growth | 10,000 screenshots/month, $79/month | 80 requests/minute. |
| ScreenshotOne Scale | 50,000 screenshots/month, $259/month | 150 requests/minute. |
CaptureKit’s plan documentation says each successful capture call consumes credits and that workspace keys share quota and rate limits. ScreenshotOne’s pricing page says only successfully rendered screenshots count toward plan usage; HTTP, browser and network failures do not count. Its FAQ says unique combinations of options count when not cached, and a cache miss can trigger a rerender that counts against quota. Overage charges apply only when enabled and remain subject to the account’s hard limit.

Build a workload estimate before selecting a tier
- Count the distinct URLs you capture in a normal month.
- Multiply by capture frequency, then by the number of viewport or device variants and output variants that require separate captures.
- Estimate successful unique renders, likely retries and cache-hit behavior. For ScreenshotOne, a cache miss can result in a billable rerender; for CaptureKit, budget on its documented one-credit-per-call unit.
- Compare that workload with each provider’s current plan allowance and confirmed rate limits. Include the time needed to drain the queue at the applicable request-start rate.
- Check current checkout terms, plan features and any overage settings before choosing a paid tier.
Choose based on how you intend to run the batch
Choose ScreenshotOne when batch submission is the key requirement
Its documented /bulk wrapper is the clearest fit when you want to submit a request list, use common options with per-item overrides, and control whether work is deferred until download or executed in advance. Its usage endpoint also provides bucket values that can inform queue pacing.
Evaluate CaptureKit when its capture controls or plan structure fit better
CaptureKit documents a broad set of per-capture controls, including formats, selector capture, device emulation, full-page capture and cache options. It may suit a workflow built around ordinary capture calls, but verify the current rate limits and whether a separate bulk endpoint is available if batch submission matters.
Keep the comparison workload-specific
Price alone is not a like-for-like comparison when one service bills credits per capture call and the other counts successful unique screenshot renders. Compare the same URL set, cadence, variants, cache assumptions and retry expectations against each provider’s live plan terms. There is no substantiated speed, uptime or fidelity winner in the cited documentation.

The ScreenshotOne batch returns URLs, but no captures appear complete
That is the default lazy behavior: capture starts when returned screenshot URLs are downloaded. Download the URLs to trigger work, or submit with execute: true and allow time for execution before relying on the results.
A bulk request appears constrained despite having few active renders
Check the one-minute request-start bucket rather than counting active renders. Use the usage endpoint’s remaining and reset values to pace starts; its concurrency fields do not mean active browser-render concurrency.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
A worker restart loses pending work
Use a durable queue and persist job inputs and results outside the worker process. ScreenshotOne’s queueing guidance names Redis/BullMQ and SQS as examples; implement retries and state transitions according to your own delivery requirements.
Usage does not match the number of URLs submitted
First check the billing unit: CaptureKit documents a credit for each capture call, while ScreenshotOne usage concerns successfully rendered screenshots and cache behavior. For ScreenshotOne, failed HTTP, browser or network renders are excluded, but unique option combinations and cache misses can produce billable renders.

CaptureKit rate behavior differs across API keys
Keys in the same CaptureKit workspace share quota and rate limits. Check workspace-level usage and the live dashboard rather than assuming each key has a separate allowance.
A feature or bulk endpoint is missing from the expected reference
Confirm against the provider’s current API reference and account entitlements before implementation. In particular, the cited CaptureKit capture reference does not establish whether a distinct bulk endpoint exists.
