Use Selenium’s Python WebDriver to open the page’s Hindi URL, then call driver.save_screenshot("screenshot.png"). It saves the current browser window as a PNG—not necessarily the entire page. Set the browser window size, check the method’s Boolean result and confirm the file exists.
Capture the Hindi page as a PNG
First identify the actual Hindi page address. Government portals use different language controls and URL routes, so there is no single Hindi URL or language selector that applies to every site. The example below uses a placeholder address: replace it with the portal’s Hindi page URL.

Choose the right page and framing
Navigate to the Hindi version
Use the site’s Hindi language control or its known Hindi route before taking the screenshot. The code cannot infer a portal’s language path, select its language menu, or guarantee a particular page’s content without that site’s URL and behavior.

Set a repeatable viewport
driver.set_window_size(1440, 1000) sets the browser window dimensions before navigation. A fixed size makes the capture setup more reproducible, but the rendered image can still vary with browser, operating system, fonts, layout, and dynamic page content.
Allow visible content to settle
Wait until the content you need is visible before calling save_screenshot. Government websites differ, so there is no universal wait duration or selector to recommend for an unspecified portal. If the page loads content dynamically, capturing immediately after navigation may miss it.

Viewport screenshot or full-page screenshot?
driver.save_screenshot(...) captures the current browser window. If you need the entire document rather than the visible viewport, use a full-page method supported by your browser and Selenium version. Selenium documents save_full_page_screenshot for Firefox; do not assume that Firefox-specific method is available for other browsers.

- Use an absolute path or check the current working directory to find the output.
- Keep the
.pngextension and verify that the file exists after saving. - Check the Boolean result from
save_screenshot; a false result indicates an I/O problem. - Keep
driver.quit()in afinallyblock so the browser session closes after either success or an exception.
Troubleshooting
The file was not created
Check that the destination directory exists and is writable, then use a valid full output path. The method returns False if it encounters an I/O error; the example raises an exception in that case.

The screenshot shows English instead of Hindi
Confirm that navigation went to the portal’s Hindi page, or use its language control before capture. The correct route and control vary by site.
Part of the page is missing
The standard call captures the current window, not the full document. If the missing content is below the viewport, check for a browser-specific full-page capture method compatible with your Selenium version.

The screenshot was taken before the page was ready
Wait for the particular page content you need to appear before saving. A fixed delay or selector cannot be specified reliably for an unidentified government portal.

Ensure that browser creation and capture are enclosed by a try/finally structure and that driver.quit() is in the finally block.
