- Confirm the symptom: Are messages failing in one chat or all chats?

4) Check Telegram’s proxy/VPN settings
If you use a VPN or Telegram proxy, it can break sending when the route changes. Open Telegram settings and disable proxy/proxy mode temporarily to test.

5) Update Telegram and reboot the device
Updates fix networking bugs and authentication/session issues. Update Telegram from the App Store or Google Play, then restart your phone and try sending again.

6) Clear Telegram cache (Android) or reinstall (iOS/Android)

7) Fix background data and battery restrictions
On many Android phones and some iOS setups, Telegram can be prevented from using network in the background—leading to stalled sends. Ensure Telegram has permission to use mobile data and isn’t restricted by battery saver.

10) Reset Telegram settings and re-login (when needed)
If you’ve tried connectivity and permissions and still can’t send, reset Telegram’s internal state. You can clear app settings (Android) or reinstall (iOS), then sign back in.

- On Desktop, fully close Telegram and reopen it.
- If you’re using a browser (Telegram Web), try another browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge) or disable ad/tracker blockers temporarily.
- On Desktop, check if you’re using a proxy inside Telegram settings and disable it to test.
