Yes. King has announced recent changes to Candy Crush Soda Saga, led by Soda Sea, a new island-based presentation of the main level map. The feature is rolling out gradually, so players may see different maps and features even when they have the same game version. Here’s what King says has changed, what remains a test or future work, and what to check if your levels or map look different.
What is the Soda Sea update?
Announced by King Community Manager LoFiGummy on August 12, 2026, and shown as updated on September 10, Soda Sea changes how players move through the main level journey: instead of progressing left to right across the old map, they advance through island episodes. King describes it as “a new way to travel through your main level journey.” King Community announcement

As players win levels, they restore tiles on an island. Some tile groups take more than one win to restore, and completing an island unlocks the next. King says the underlying main level journey has not changed and that completed levels and progress are retained, although older map features may look or work differently. King’s Soda Sea help article

King says Soda Sea is being rolled out gradually. New features may first go to smaller groups of players, so not seeing the islands does not by itself mean your app is outdated. King has not provided a universal launch date for every player. Soda Sea availability guidance

Rollout eligibility and platform can affect what appears in the game. If you are comparing with another player, they may simply be in a different rollout group; the announcement does not establish that all accounts or devices receive the feature at once.

Why don’t I have more levels to play?
King adds new levels regularly, but a new batch may not appear on every platform at the same time. Its support guidance recommends checking for the latest app version and confirming that every previous level has at least one star. King’s guidance on missing levels
- Check for an app update. Open the App Store on iOS or Google Play on Android, find Candy Crush Soda Saga, and use the Update option if one is available.
- Check your progress. Make sure each level before the end of the available main-level journey has at least one star.
- Allow for platform timing. If you play on mobile and desktop, a new level batch may arrive on one platform before another.
- Check whether you have reached the current main-level endpoint. When all available main levels are complete, King says the pink door may lead to Mastery Levels while you wait for more main levels.
A Community Manager’s reply in the Summer of ’26 discussion gave 19555 as the latest mobile level at that point. That is a dated snapshot, not a verified current maximum: King’s support guidance notes that level releases can differ by platform. Summer of ’26 discussion Level availability guidance

Why can’t I replay old levels?
King documents a limited test affecting some players in which completed levels cannot be replayed and gold pins are hidden. The company says the test affects only some players and may change; it is not a permanent rule for everyone. King’s replay-levels help article

The official materials cited here do not verify an October 2026 maximum level. King’s Summer of ’26 roundup records Level 19000 as a milestone reached during 2026, while a Community Manager reply in that discussion said mobile had reached Level 19555 at that time. Neither figure should be treated as the current maximum: levels continue to be added, and availability can vary by platform. For your own game, the end of the main-level map and any available update are more useful indicators than an older level count.
