No VPN can be named the proven “best” for Nauru on the available evidence: there are no independent tests of speed, reliability, streaming access, or leak protection from the country. Choose by checking the provider’s current server list for a usable nearby location, then compare its kill switch, device support, protocols, privacy documentation, price, renewal terms, and refund policy. A large country count does not mean the provider has a server in Nauru.
Does any VPN have a server in Nauru?
The provider lists reviewed here do not establish that any offers a Nauru server. Check a provider’s live location list before subscribing, and look for an explicit Nauru entry rather than inferring coverage from its worldwide country count. A provider may distinguish physical servers from virtual locations; where it does, check what that distinction means for the location you want.

For context, ExpressVPN says it has servers in 113 countries and 214 server locations, and explains that a small number of its registered locations are virtual, with the IP location differing from the physical server location. Those are provider-stated figures, last updated August 19, 2026; they do not show that ExpressVPN offers a Nauru IP address. See ExpressVPN’s server-location information.

How to choose a VPN for use in Nauru
Check nearby locations without assuming performance
If your goal is a responsive connection, a nearby listed server can be a reasonable place to start, but distance and server load affect latency and neither guarantees speed. ExpressVPN’s guidance also points to considering privacy and access needs when choosing a location. No Nauru-specific performance ranking is established here.

Compare protection and connection options
Check whether the provider supports a kill switch and which protocols are available in the apps you plan to use. NordVPN describes its kill switch as preventing unprotected internet access when traffic does not pass through a VPN server; Proton VPN says its kill switch blocks network traffic if the VPN connection is lost. These are the providers’ descriptions, not independent verification of how the features perform. NordVPN server list · Proton VPN server locations.
Make sure your devices are supported
Check the provider’s current app availability for your phone, computer, or other devices before paying. A VPN-compatible router is optional: installing an app on supported personal devices may be simpler. If you need network-wide coverage, verify your exact router model against the provider’s current setup guide. ExpressVPN documents router apps and setup information at its router setup page.

What is known about internet restrictions in Nauru?
Available accounts differ by date and context, so they should not be treated as a definitive description of current filtering. It also described government ownership of media and editorial influence. Read the State Department’s 2023 report on Nauru.

The publisher labels its confidence low and evidence coverage limited, so the score should be read with those qualifications. Read the 2026 Internet Freedom Index report.
