To cancel CyberGhost, use the account or store that bills you. A direct CyberGhost purchase is canceled in your CyberGhost account under Subscriptions; Apple- and Google-billed subscriptions must be canceled through their store settings. Cancellation stops future renewal but does not automatically refund a payment. If your direct purchase is still within CyberGhost’s refund window, request the refund separately from support.
How do I cancel my CyberGhost subscription?
First check the receipt or subscription details to identify who bills you. The seller determines where to cancel and where to ask about a refund.

Cancel a direct CyberGhost purchase
- Sign in to your CyberGhost account.
- Open the profile menu and select Subscriptions.
- Choose Cancel Subscription, then select Continue To Cancel.
- Check the subscription status and confirm automatic billing is off. CyberGhost says the subscription remains usable through the paid period.
- If you qualify for a refund, contact CyberGhost support separately to request it.
Cancel on iPhone or iPad
For an Apple-billed subscription, cancel it in your Apple account’s subscription settings. On iPhone or iPad, open the device’s Settings, tap your name, then tap Subscriptions and select CyberGhost to cancel. On a Mac, use account subscription settings in the App Store. If you want a refund, contact Apple Support; Apple’s refund policy applies to Apple-billed plans. See CyberGhost’s purchase-channel guidance.
Cancel through Google Play
- Open the Play Store and tap your profile icon.
- Go to Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
- Select CyberGhost, tap Manage, then Cancel Subscription and confirm.
Cancellation stops future renewals, not previous charges. CyberGhost’s guidance says app-store billing and refunds are handled by the store. If it is unclear who is responsible, start with the billing account shown on your receipt.

Cancel Amazon or another seller’s subscription
For an Amazon Appstore purchase, use Amazon’s account or support channel. For a physical gift card or another third-party seller, contact that seller about cancellation and refund terms. CyberGhost’s terms exclude Amazon purchases from its money-back guarantee and place refund decisions with Amazon.
How do I get a refund from CyberGhost?
For a direct purchase, CyberGhost’s Terms state a 14-day money-back period for a one-month subscription and a 45-day period for subscriptions of six months or longer. To request a refund, terminate the subscription within the applicable period and contact CyberGhost support. The cancellation action alone is not a refund request.

The money-back guarantee does not cover purchases billed through Apple, Google Play, or Amazon; those platforms apply their own terms and decide refund requests. Does canceling CyberGhost automatically refund me?
No. CyberGhost states that canceling a subscription does not automatically refund it. Cancellation turns off future renewal; a refund for an eligible direct purchase must be requested separately through support. If you cancel after the renewal has already been charged, check the applicable policy and contact the billing seller promptly.

When should I cancel to avoid another charge?
CyberGhost’s support guidance says to cancel before midnight on the renewal date to stop the next recurring charge. Check the renewal date and cancellation status in your account as soon as possible, and leave time before that deadline. After canceling, verify that automatic billing is off and retain any confirmation.

- Direct CyberGhost billing: Check whether automatic renewal was turned off before the renewal date, then contact CyberGhost support with your account and charge details.
- Apple, Google Play, or Amazon billing: Contact the store responsible for the charge. The platform’s refund rules apply.
- Gift card or another seller: Contact the seller that processed the purchase.
Use the billing descriptor or receipt to identify the seller if you are unsure which route applies. Cancellation and refund decisions are handled by different steps: make the cancellation effective with the billing channel, then submit a refund request to the responsible party when eligible.
