To cancel BritBox, use the account of the company that bills you. If BritBox bills you directly in the United States, cancel in your BritBox account; if you subscribed through Apple, Google Play, Roku, or Amazon, cancel through that provider instead. Check your statement or subscription list first so you use the right route.
Find out who bills your BritBox subscription
Check a recent card or bank statement and the subscription-management accounts you may have used. A cancellation option may not appear in BritBox if another company handles your billing.

- Apple: Find the Apple receipt and check which Apple Account purchased the subscription. If you cannot find an Apple receipt, Apple advises checking your statement to identify the billing company. Apple’s subscription cancellation guidance.
- Roku: Check my.roku.com/subscriptions. Roku charges may appear on a statement as “Roku,” “Roku for ___,” or “The Roku Channel.” Roku’s subscription guidance.
- Google Play or Amazon: Check the subscriptions or channel-management area of the account you may have used, and compare it with your statement.

BritBox bills you directly
Sign in to BritBox and open My Account, then find the account or subscription details and choose the cancellation option. BritBox’s US terms direct direct subscribers to cancel through My Account. BritBox US Terms & Conditions.
Interface labels can vary. Tom’s Guide reports the route as My Account > Plan & Billing > Cancel Subscription, followed by cancellation prompts. Tom’s Guide’s BritBox cancellation walkthrough. Continue through the prompts until the account confirms the cancellation.

Apple bills you
- On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings and tap your name.
- Tap Subscriptions, then select BritBox.
- Tap Cancel Subscription and follow any confirmation prompts. Apple’s instructions.
If there is no Cancel Subscription button, or you see a red expiration message, Apple says the subscription is already canceled.
Google Play bills you
- Sign in to the Google Account that holds the subscription.
- Open Google Play’s subscriptions, select BritBox, and choose Cancel subscription.
- Follow the prompts and check the subscription status afterward. Google Play’s cancellation instructions.
Uninstalling the BritBox app does not cancel a Google Play subscription.

Roku bills you
Use Roku’s subscription controls, starting with my.roku.com/subscriptions, and follow the cancellation prompts for BritBox. BritBox’s terms say subscriptions billed by a third party must be canceled through that provider. Check Roku’s subscription status after completing the process.

Amazon bills you through Prime Video Channels
Manage the subscription in the subscriptions or channels controls of the Amazon account used to pay. BritBox’s terms establish that third-party subscriptions must be canceled on the billing platform, but the exact current Amazon steps for BritBox are not established here. Verify the resulting status in your Amazon account.

When cancellation takes effect
For a BritBox subscription covered by its US terms, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period—not immediately. If you have paid for the period, access continues until it ends. Cancel before the next renewal to avoid the next subscription charge. BritBox’s US terms say payments are nonrefundable and do not provide a refund or credit for a partially used period.
Google Play says subscribers generally retain access for time already paid. Roku also says access continues through the end of the paid billing period after cancellation; cancel a Roku free trial before it ends to avoid recurring charges. These platform details do not replace the terms that apply to your particular subscription or region.

If you cannot find a cancellation option
- BritBox has no cancel option: Recheck who bills you; third-party subscriptions must be canceled through the platform used to pay.
- Apple does not show BritBox: Check the Apple receipt and the Apple Account that purchased it. If there is no Apple receipt, use your statement to identify the biller.
- Google Play does not show the subscription: Switch to the Google Account that holds it, then check subscriptions again.
- You are unsure about Roku billing: Check the Roku subscription list and compare its entries with your statement.
- You completed the steps but are unsure it worked: Reopen the billing provider’s subscription page and confirm its status. On Apple, an absent cancel button or red expiration message indicates it is already canceled.
