Verify the exact tool and battery before use; Mellif’s compatibility statements are the manufacturer’s claims, not independent tests of every pairing.
Which Makita batteries does Mellif say will fit?
Mellif’s UK collection page groups 24 products under “Compatible with Makita 18v battery” and says users can reuse existing BL batteries. That count is a current catalog figure, not a permanent product total. For a specific cordless drill, Mellif says it fits Makita 18V batteries and names BL1815, BL1830 and BL1850 as examples. Check the drill’s product details. Those examples support compatibility for that listed drill; they do not establish that every Mellif tool accepts every Makita 18V pack.
How to check a tool before using a battery
- Find the exact Mellif model. Read that product’s battery-platform information rather than relying only on a general brand or collection label.
- Compare the battery designation. Confirm the listing covers your battery model. For the cited drill, Mellif names BL1815, BL1830 and BL1850.
- Check battery-protection instructions. The cited drill listing says its low-voltage protection stops operation below 14.4V. That is a claim for that drill, not a universal Mellif specification.
- Confirm what is included. Check whether the tool is sold with a battery and which charger, if any, is specified for the pack.
Mellif’s product information establishes the company’s stated compatibility, not independent validation of every tool-and-battery combination or a particular warranty outcome. If the exact model’s instructions do not confirm your battery, ask Mellif before relying on the pairing.

Does a Mellif battery charge on a Makita charger?
Tool fit and charger compatibility are separate questions. Mellif’s replacement-battery listing describes an 18V, 4.0Ah pack as compatible with Mellif and Makita 18V tools, but says the included charger cannot charge original Makita batteries and an original Makita charger cannot charge the Mellif pack. Use the charger specified for the particular battery and check the current regional product instructions. Check the replacement-battery listing.
The listing’s labeling is inconsistent, so confirm its current specifications before relying on them. Compatibility between a replacement pack and a tool does not mean the pack and charger can be mixed.

What Makita’s BCV03 adapter does—and does not—show
Makita’s official BCV03 page describes a 36V adapter that uses two 18V LXT batteries with select Makita 36V tools. It is a Makita-specific setup; it does not establish that Makita batteries work with Mellif tools. Makita BCV03 product information.
