Yes, potentially—if your JioFiber connection can sustain the stream’s upload bitrate, your plan’s usage terms allow the ongoing traffic, and your computer, power and streaming software remain available. A plan’s advertised speed or one speed test cannot promise an uninterrupted 24/7 broadcast. Test the complete setup and monitor YouTube’s stream health before relying on it.
What determines whether JioFiber can handle a 24/7 stream?
For a live broadcast, upload speed matters more than download speed: your encoder must send the video to YouTube continuously. YouTube says the total stream bitrate must not exceed available upload bandwidth, recommends leaving 20% spare, and warns that a connectivity disruption can break a stream. Other household devices share the connection, so a speed result taken while the network is otherwise idle may not reflect your real conditions. YouTube’s streaming tips

Jio advertises symmetric speeds and 99.9% uptime for its postpaid offer. Treat that as Jio’s advertised statement, not a verified uptime result for your address or a plan-specific guarantee for a continuous YouTube broadcast. Jio’s 2025 consumer charter says plan speeds are guaranteed up to the ISP node, with a contention ratio applying; it also notes that FUP/CUP conditions apply to certain plans and may change. Neither those statements nor a short speed test establishes sustained upload throughput or outage frequency at your home. For a stream that cannot go offline, plan for failures in the internet connection, local power, computer or encoder, and consider an independent backup path.

Choose a bitrate your connection can sustain
YouTube’s current H.264 guidance lists the following live-ingestion bitrates. These are encoder settings, not promises that an ISP connection will hold them continuously.
| Output setting | YouTube H.264 recommended bitrate | YouTube H.264 minimum |
|---|---|---|
| 1080p at 30 fps | 14 Mbps | 5 Mbps |
| 720p at 30 fps | 8 Mbps | 3 Mbps |
YouTube’s encoder settings lists these values. Leave at least the 20% upload headroom YouTube recommends above the combined stream bitrate; treat that as a planning cue, not a reliability guarantee. For example, a 14 Mbps video bitrate needs at least 16.8 Mbps of available upload to meet that headroom calculation, before accounting for competing network use or variation. If measured upload fluctuates, choose a lower setting rather than sizing the stream to the best result you saw once.

- DUAL-BAND WIFI 6 ROUTER: Wi-Fi 6(802.11ax) technology achieves faster speeds, greater capacity and reduced network congestion compared to the previous gen. All WiFi routers require a separate modem. Dual-Band WiFi routers do not support the 6 GHz band.
- AX1800: Enjoy smoother and more stable streaming, gaming, downloading with 1.8 Gbps total bandwidth (up to 1200 Mbps on 5 GHz and up to 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz). Performance varies by conditions, distance to devices, and obstacles such as walls.
- CONNECT MORE DEVICES: Wi-Fi 6 technology communicates more data to more devices simultaneously using revolutionary OFDMA technology
- EXTENSIVE COVERAGE: Achieve the strong, reliable WiFi coverage with Archer AX1800 as it focuses signal strength to your devices far away using Beamforming technology, 4 high-gain antennas and an advanced front-end module (FEM) chipset
- OUR CYBERSECURITY COMMITMENT: TP-Link is a signatory of the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s (CISA) Secure-by-Design pledge. This device is designed, built, and maintained, with advanced security as a core requirement.
Resolution and frame rate should match the lecture. A mostly static speaker or slide presentation may not need 1080p; the lower setting can reduce bandwidth demand. Whatever you choose, test with the same video, audio, resolution, frame rate and encoder settings you intend to use for the long broadcast.
Check your JioFiber plan’s data terms
Jio’s cited prepaid and postpaid terms state a 3300 GB commercial-use policy or limit on the covered unlimited plans. That figure is a policy threshold in those terms, not an estimate of how much a particular stream will consume. Check the current terms for your exact plan before leaving a broadcast running continuously; plan conditions may differ or change.

- Next-Gen Gigabit Wi-Fi 6 Speeds: 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz bands ensure smoother streaming and faster downloads; support VPN server and VPN client¹
- A More Responsive Experience: Enjoy smooth gaming, video streaming, and live feeds simultaneously. OFDMA makes your Wi-Fi stronger by allowing multiple clients to share one band at the same time, cutting latency and jitter.²
- Expanded Wi-Fi Coverage: 4 high-gain external antennas and Beamforming technology combine to extend strong, reliable, Wi-Fi throughout your home.
- Improved Battery Life: Target Wake Time helps your devices to communicate efficiently while consuming less power.
- Improved Cooling Design: No heat ups, no throttles. A larger heat sink and redefined case design cools the WiFi 6 system and enables your network to stay at top speeds in more versatile environments.
Set up and test the broadcast
- Confirm YouTube eligibility. Your channel must be verified and must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. The broadcast must comply with YouTube’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. YouTube live streaming eligibility and rules
- Connect the streaming computer to the Jio gateway by Ethernet if practical. Wired LAN avoids relying on the local Wi-Fi link; it cannot protect against a Jio outage or other upstream fault.
- Set a conservative encoder bitrate and output format. Use YouTube’s H.264 recommendations as a reference, and leave upload headroom. Keep resolution, frame rate, audio and bitrate consistent during testing and the eventual broadcast.
- Run a realistic test stream. Use the lecture recording and settings you plan to broadcast. Check YouTube’s preview and stream-health messages, and test at different times, including when other household devices are using the connection. YouTube recommends testing representative audio and movement and monitoring stream health. YouTube encoder settings
- Measure upload and diagnose locally. Jio says its NetVelocity app can show upload speed, network quality, latency and whether the device is on Wi-Fi or LAN. If speed seems low, Jio suggests restarting the router, switching between Wi-Fi and LAN, or using MyJio diagnostics. Jio speed-check guidance
- Prepare a recovery plan. Decide what you will do if the ISP connection, local power, computer or encoder fails. The available Jio information does not establish backup power or a plan-specific uptime SLA for this use.
Lecture rights and YouTube rules matter too
Before streaming a recording, confirm you have rights to the lecture and any embedded slides, music, clips or other material. YouTube requires compliance with its Community Guidelines and Terms of Service; whether a particular recording is cleared depends on its contents and permissions. Eligibility to stream does not itself establish that you may rebroadcast every part of a recording.
Or let it run in the cloud
If you do not want a home computer and connection to carry the ongoing broadcast, StreamNeo runs an always-on YouTube stream from uploaded videos in the cloud:

- YouTube reports unstable or insufficient bandwidth: Reduce the encoder bitrate or output resolution, use Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi, and test again with other household devices active. Make sure the available upload remains above the combined stream bitrate with headroom.
- Speed looks low on the streaming device: Check whether it is connected over Wi-Fi or LAN using NetVelocity. Restart the router, try wired LAN, or run MyJio diagnostics as Jio recommends.
- The stream stops when the home network drops: A local connection disruption can break the stream. Check the router and connection, then restart or recover the broadcast using your streaming setup; for a critical continuous stream, consider a genuinely independent backup connection and power arrangement.
- The connection works but the stream still cannot stay live: Check the computer, encoder and local power as well as the ISP link. A healthy speed test covers none of those other failure points.
- You are unsure whether a long session is permitted or archived as expected: The reviewed YouTube pages do not settle the maximum duration or archival behavior for this exact workflow. Check YouTube’s current live-stream guidance and test the intended session before depending on its archive.
Compare connections for this specific job
Do not choose an ISP based on download speed alone. Compare the sustained upload you measure at the broadcast location, stability and outage history, the plan’s usage terms against the expected data transfer, and whether you have an independent backup path. No competing ISP is assessed here, so there is no evidence-based basis to name one as a better alternative to JioFiber.
