No, not on the evidence available. Harbor Freight sells Bauer and Hercules batteries as systems for their own cordless tools, and Bosch states that its 18V batteries are compatible with Bosch 18V power tools. None of the official material on either side shows a Harbor Freight battery approved for, or documented on, a Bosch tool. Treat cross-brand use as unsupported unless you can verify the exact pairing yourself.
Why a matching voltage label does not settle it
Harbor Freight’s Bauer and Hercules lines are labeled 20V. Bosch’s battery is labeled 18V. Those labels describe nominal voltage, and they do not tell you whether a pack will physically seat in a tool, line up its terminals, or communicate with the tool’s electronics. A similar voltage number is a reason to look more closely, not evidence that the packs are interchangeable.

The same caution applies in the other direction. The sources reviewed do not document a measured electrical mismatch between these platforms either. The honest position is that the manufacturers have not established a fit, so the question stays open until a specific pairing is confirmed.

Harbor Freight lists the Bauer and Hercules systems as separate product categories, each tied to its own tools. Bosch’s listing covers its own 18V tools and says nothing about Harbor Freight packs. Neither brand’s official material offers a cross-brand path.
Adapters: what the one reviewed example shows
Some third-party sellers offer adapters that let one brand’s battery run another brand’s tool. The only adapter listing identified is a third-party product that lets a Hercules 20V battery power a Bauer 20V tool. It is not a Harbor Freight product, and it is not a Bosch product.

Why that example matters
The listing makes three points that carry over to any adapter:

- The listing tells you to check the exact models before buying.
- The adapter is intended for powering tools, not for charging batteries.
Those limits show that an adapter is pairing-specific. A Hercules-to-Bauer adapter says nothing about whether a Harbor Freight pack works with a Bosch tool.

What a Bosch-compatible adapter listing would need to show
- The exact Bosch tool model it supports, by model number.
- The exact Harbor Freight battery platform and model it accepts.
- The direction of the connection, stated in writing.
- Clear charging instructions, or an explicit statement that it does not charge.
- Safety documentation covering overheating, short circuits, and damaged packs.
If a listing does not meet all five points, it is not enough to rely on.
How to verify a pairing before you try it
- Find the complete model number on your Bosch tool’s nameplate or in its manual. A tool family name alone is not enough.
- Check Bosch’s compatibility information or the tool manual for the battery it lists. Confirm that the listed battery is an 18V Bosch battery.
- Read the label on the Harbor Freight pack and identify its platform: Bauer or Hercules, 20V. Do not rely on the voltage number alone.
- Search Harbor Freight’s official battery pages for any statement of use with another brand. If none appears, the pairing is unsupported by that manufacturer.
- If you are considering an adapter, confirm that the listing meets every point in the checklist above. If it does not, do not use it.
- If a pairing is not clearly supported, buy the battery the tool’s manufacturer lists. Listings change, so check the live page at the time of purchase.
Charging and safety
The Harbor Freight owner’s manual for Bauer item 56895 includes a charging instruction that applies to that product: “charge only li-ion Bauer-type rechargeable batteries.” That manual is specific to item 56895, so do not apply it to every Harbor Freight battery model. It does, however, make clear that the covered charger is for Bauer-type packs.

- Avoid opening, dropping, short-circuiting, puncturing, or incinerating it.
- Charge according to the charger’s instructions.
- Stop using or charging a damaged pack.
Never charge a Harbor Freight pack on a Bosch charger, or a Bosch pack on a Harbor Freight charger, unless the manufacturer documents that arrangement.
Warranty considerations
Bosch’s US warranty page covers Bosch-branded 18V batteries and tools under specific terms, and those terms include exclusions. The page does not address every adapter or third-party battery scenario. Do not assume that using a Harbor Freight pack or an adapter is covered, and do not assume it voids coverage either. Read the current terms for your exact Bosch product before deciding.
Practical answer for buyers
If your tool is a Bosch 18V model, the supported route is a Bosch 18V battery that the tool’s documentation lists. If you own a Harbor Freight Bauer or Hercules 20V tool and want to use its battery, stay within that brand’s system. A Harbor Freight battery on a Bosch tool is not established by any official source reviewed, and an adapter is a separate question that requires its own verification.
