Yes—but connecting an Apple Magic Trackpad does not by itself give Windows 11 its native multi-touch controls. Windows must recognize it as a Precision Touchpad. Apple documents that route for supported Intel-based Macs with the Apple T2 Security Chip running Windows through Boot Camp. On other Windows PCs, a third-party driver is an alternative, not Microsoft’s native implementation.
First check whether Windows sees a Precision Touchpad
A working cursor or basic clicks only show that the trackpad is connected; they do not confirm that Windows has enabled its native gesture settings. On a Mac running Windows through Boot Camp, open Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Touchpad and look for the message “Your PC has a precision touchpad.” Apple identifies this message as the indication that Precision Touchpad settings are available. Apple’s Boot Camp instructions say its documented Precision Touchpad support applies to Macs with the Apple T2 Security Chip.

If the message is missing, first confirm that the Mac meets Apple’s supported-device condition and that its Boot Camp support software is current. Apple notes that outdated support software can be a reason the Precision Touchpad settings are absent. If the Mac does not expose those settings, use the trackpad options available in Boot Camp Control Panel instead.

When Windows recognizes a Precision Touchpad, its Touchpad settings provide controls for supported gestures. Microsoft’s documented actions include:
#1 Best Overall
- Magic Trackpad is wireless and rechargeable, and it includes the full range of Multi-Touch gestures and Force Touch technology.
- Sensors underneath the trackpad surface detect subtle differences in the amount of pressure you apply, bringing more functionality to your fingertips and enabling a deeper connection to your content.
- It features a large edge-to-edge glass surface area, making scrolling and swiping through your favourite content more productive and comfortable than ever.
- Magic Trackpad pairs automatically with your Mac, so you can get to work straightaway.
- The rechargeable battery will power it for about a month or more between charges.
- Two fingers: scroll and pinch to zoom.
- Three fingers: show open windows, show the desktop, or switch between apps, depending on the selected action.
- Four fingers: swipe left or right to switch virtual desktops.
Microsoft cautions that some gestures work only with Precision Touchpads. The available actions can therefore differ if Windows does not recognize the Magic Trackpad through a Precision Touchpad driver. See Microsoft’s Windows touch gesture guide for the documented gestures.
If native controls are unavailable, choose the route for your computer
| Route | Where it applies | What to expect | Important limitation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Boot Camp and Windows Precision Touchpad | Supported Intel-based Macs with Apple T2 Security Chip, according to Apple | Native Windows Touchpad settings when Windows identifies a Precision Touchpad | Other Macs may have only the options exposed in Boot Camp Control Panel; missing settings can also indicate outdated Boot Camp support software. |
| Magic Utilities driver | The vendor advertises Windows 10 and 11 support for Apple input devices, including Magic Trackpad | Third-party gesture and navigation features, documented by the vendor | It is not Microsoft’s native Precision Touchpad driver. Wireless use requires a compatible Bluetooth adapter and driver, and driver conflicts are possible. |
On an Intel Mac using Boot Camp
Use Apple’s supported-device and software checks first. If native settings remain unavailable, configure only the options shown in Boot Camp Control Panel rather than assuming that every Magic Trackpad gesture will appear in Windows Settings.

On a separate Windows PC
Magic Utilities advertises its own driver for Windows 10 and 11, with Bluetooth and USB support and features such as Windows desktop and Task View navigation. These are the vendor’s claims about its implementation, not a guarantee that every trackpad generation and PC will behave alike or that the controls will match Microsoft’s native gesture settings. Review its Magic Trackpad driver features and gesture documentation for device and feature details.

If you already installed a driver, identify it before adding another. Magic Utilities warns that Apple’s Mac Precision Touchpad driver can interfere with its own driver, particularly when a Magic Trackpad 2 is used over Bluetooth. The vendor’s troubleshooting instructions describe removing the conflicting driver, restarting, and reinstalling its own driver; follow the instructions for your particular device and setup rather than stacking drivers or applying a generic removal sequence. See Magic Utilities’ driver-conflict guidance.
