Yes. AION 2 has training dummies you can attack, and some dummies in towns and Legion bases use attack skills when a player is nearby. They’re useful for practising a stationary skill sequence, but the available official notes do not confirm a built-in damage report, dummy settings, or an automatic reset. Build planners and damage meters are separate tools, not proof of native game features.
What AION 2 training dummies can do
NCSOFT’s July 22, 2026 Korean update notes say that some training dummies in towns and Legion bases were replaced with dummies that use attack skills. Those dummies use skills only when a player is nearby. A stationary target gives you a place to practise inputs and repeat a skill sequence under similar conditions. The update notes reviewed here do not document a native damage summary, configurable dummy resistance or health, or automatic reset. So you can use a dummy for practice, but don’t assume it is a built-in DPS simulator.
Can you test damage or compare builds?
You can compare runs as a practical exercise, provided you keep the conditions as consistent as possible. That can show whether a change affects your results in that test; it cannot by itself establish how the setup will perform in a live encounter or PvP.

- Keep the character, target type, equipment, skill configuration, and self-buffs the same between runs. Note any differences; these are comparison controls, not documented dummy settings.
- Use the same sequence for the same length of time, then repeat it. Change one factor at a time, such as a skill choice, macro order, or build configuration.
- If you use a damage meter, identify it as third-party and treat its figures as that tool’s output, not an official game report or validated benchmark.
- Record the patch and whether the test is meant to represent PvE or PvP, rather than treating one dummy result as universal.
JaMeter advertises an unofficial training-dummy comparison lasting 20–60 seconds and per-skill damage breakdowns. Those are claims made by the tool’s publisher; the available information does not independently validate its method or results. JaMeter
Practising skills and macro timing
An independent AION 2 Database guide recommends using a dummy to test macro timing. It suggests starting at 40–50 ms delay when ping is above 80–100 ms, or 10 ms when ping is below 50 ms, then adjusting if skills are skipped. These are the guide’s recommendations, not NCSOFT instructions or controlled test results; your connection and setup may require different timing. AION 2 Database macro guide

The same guide says a macro uses only one charge stage for charged skills. If you need the full charge, use the skill manually rather than relying on the macro. It also warns against leaving macros unattended.
Build planners and damage meters do different jobs
Aion2t’s Skills Builder lets you arrange active and Stigma skills on a hotbar and build or share configurations. Its page does not claim to simulate damage. Use it to organize a setup, then test that setup in the game. Aion2t Skills Builder

JaMeter, by contrast, advertises external damage measurement. It is an unofficial fan-made tool, not a native AION 2 feature. A planner helps organize a configuration; a meter claims to measure output. Neither establishes that the game itself provides a dummy damage report.

NCSOFT announced on March 25, 2026 that PvP and PvE damage calculations were separated. A result from a PvE dummy should therefore not be presented as a prediction of PvP damage. Label the context and patch for each comparison. NCSOFT’s March 25, 2026 announcement

A stationary target also cannot reproduce encounter movement, mechanics, damage windows, or every target and buff condition. A repeatable dummy test can help isolate a change in your inputs or configuration, but it is not a substitute for performance in the content you intend to play.
