Apple TV 4K can still serve as a Home hub for certain Apple Intelligence-enabled Home features, which is separate from running Apple Intelligence on the TV itself.
Can you use Apple Intelligence on Apple TV?
No. Apple’s current compatibility guidance covers supported devices across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Vision Pro, and Apple Watch, but not Apple TV. There is no Apple Intelligence switch or setup flow for Apple TV itself in that guidance. Check Apple’s Apple Intelligence and Siri page for its device compatibility information.

What Apple TV 4K can do as a Home hub
Apple TV 4K can be one of the compatible Home hubs used for certain Apple Intelligence-enabled Home features. Apple Support says: “For all of these features, Apple Intelligence must be enabled in the Home app and requires a compatible Home hub such as HomePod (2nd generation), HomePod mini, or Apple TV 4K with the latest operating system software.” See Apple’s current Home and Apple Intelligence requirements for the feature-specific details.
#1 Best Overall
- 4K High Dynamic Range (Dolby Vision and HDR10) for stunning picture quality
- Dolby Digital Plus 7.1 surround sound
- A10X Fusion chip for ultra-fast graphics and performance
- Voice search by asking the Siri Remote
The hub requirement concerns Home features, not Apple Intelligence running on Apple TV. The cited Apple guidance names Apple TV 4K with the latest operating system software as one possible compatible hub, but does not provide a TV-specific procedure for enabling Apple Intelligence in the Home app. Follow Apple’s current Home instructions rather than looking for an Apple Intelligence toggle on Apple TV.
Do you need to buy an Apple TV 4K?
No, not if you already have another compatible hub named by Apple. HomePod (2nd generation) and HomePod mini are also listed options. Apple’s guidance does not rank these devices or say that one is required over another.

Set up Siri voice recognition separately
If your goal is to personalize Siri on Apple TV 4K, Apple provides a separate voice-recognition setup. This does not enable Apple Intelligence on Apple TV.
