Yes—if you want to send the same OBS program to two YouTube live events. You can configure a multiple-RTMP-output plugin with each event’s stream details, provided the plugin works with your OBS version and system and you have enough upload capacity. That does not automatically give you two independent streams with different visuals or audio; verify that requirement with your exact setup before relying on it.
First, decide what “two streams” means
There are two different goals that can sound like “two relaxation streams”:

- One program, two destinations: the same OBS picture and sound are sent to two separate YouTube live events. Multiple RTMP Outputs is intended for sending output to multiple RTMP ingest destinations.
- Two separate programs: each event has its own scenes, visuals, or audio. The available evidence does not establish that the plugin provides independent scene and audio output for each destination. Do not assume it does.
If you want the same ambience broadcast twice, the first setup is the relevant one. If each channel or event needs different content, test the exact configuration privately before scheduling a public broadcast.
Check YouTube’s limits and your OBS compatibility
YouTube’s concurrent-stream limits
YouTube Help’s current “Get started with live streaming” page, accessed October 3, 2026, sets limits of 10 active streams per channel and 3 active streams per stream key. Both limits apply concurrently. Two events therefore fit within those published limits only if your other active streams and use of each key do not take you over either cap. Confirm the plugin works with your installed versions
The OBS compatibility table that lists Multiple RTMP Outputs covers OBS Studio 28 and was published on August 31, 2022. It does not confirm compatibility with current OBS releases. Check the plugin’s current release information for your OBS version and operating system before installing or updating. The older table lists Windows, Intel macOS, and Apple macOS for OBS 28; do not treat that as a guarantee for a newer setup. See the OBS compatibility table.
Community guidance describes the plugin’s purpose as sending output to multiple RTMP destinations, but that is not a substitute for current plugin documentation. Review the OBS community plugin information and test the version you plan to use.

Set up the same OBS program for two YouTube events
- Create two events. In YouTube Studio, open the Live Control Room and create or schedule a live event for each destination.
- Collect each event’s connection details. For each event, note its stream URL and stream key. Keep the keys private: YouTube describes them as the stream’s “password and address.” A channel owner or manager can reset a compromised key. YouTube’s stream-settings guidance explains keys and stream settings.
- Install and open Multiple RTMP Outputs. Do this only after checking compatibility with your installed OBS and operating system. Follow the plugin’s current instructions; its interface and compatibility may differ by version.
- Add one output for each event. Enter the corresponding server/stream URL and key for each destination. Double-check that the details have not been swapped. Do not share screenshots or configuration files that expose a key.
- Start the outputs and inspect both previews. Confirm that each YouTube event receives the intended picture and sound, and check stream health in the Live Control Room. YouTube’s encoder workflow includes a preview and a Go live step; follow the prompts for each event. See YouTube’s encoder setup instructions.
- Check capacity and test before going public. Compare your encoder settings and the combined outputs with the upload capacity available on your connection. Run a private or unlisted test and verify both events before a scheduled broadcast.
Plan bitrate and encoder capacity
There is no reliable universal upload-speed number for this setup: the needed capacity depends on your chosen codec, resolution, frame rate, bitrate, encoder configuration, and how the outputs are handled. Use YouTube’s recommended settings for your specific codec, resolution, and frame rate, then test the actual connection and computer under the intended load. YouTube’s encoder settings and bitrate recommendations provide the relevant ranges.
Do not infer a safe bitrate by simply assuming the computer or network can handle two destinations. Measure the result with the chosen settings, and leave practical headroom rather than scheduling a broadcast at the edge of your available upload capacity.

If each relaxation stream needs different visuals or audio
Treat independent outputs as a separate requirement from duplicating one OBS program. A user report describes scene changes affecting both destinations; that is a warning example, not proof of how every current plugin version behaves. The available documentation does not establish per-output scene or audio isolation for your configuration. Confirm that the current plugin supports the routing you need, then run a private or unlisted test with the exact OBS version, plugin version, and operating system. Check both picture and sound at both destinations.
If your goal is simply to let viewers choose between horizontal and vertical presentations of one event, YouTube’s dual-format live feature may be a better fit. It provides two viewing formats for one stream, with a shared URL and live chat; it is not two independently programmed relaxation events. Troubleshooting two OBS outputs
