There is no officially documented native Termux installation for Google’s Antigravity CLI. The Linux ARM64 CLI expects a glibc-based Linux runtime, while Android’s Termux uses Bionic. That mismatch can cause a direct launch to fail with cannot execute: required file not found, even when the device’s processor is ARM64. Community approaches use a Linux userspace under Termux or add glibc and patches to native Termux, but neither is a guaranteed fix.
Why the Linux ARM64 build does not simply run in Termux
ARM64 describes the processor instruction set; it does not ensure that a program built for Linux will work in Android’s runtime. Google’s reported Linux ARM64 binary expects the glibc dynamic loader at /lib/ld-linux-aarch64.so.1. Termux runs on Android, which uses Bionic rather than glibc. In an upstream issue, a user reported that direct execution failed because the expected loader was missing. Redirecting the loader and library path got past that first error but then produced a segmentation fault during glibc initialization in that setup. See the upstream Termux compatibility report.

Google’s installation documentation says the CLI runs natively on macOS, Linux, Googlebook, and Windows, and documents this installer for Linux and macOS: curl -fsSL https://antigravity.google/cli/install.sh | bash. Termux is not on that platform list. A shell installer that recognizes a Linux ARM64 binary does not make Android a supported Linux host. Google Antigravity CLI installation documentation.

Two unofficial approaches people try
Community instructions fall into two broad categories. Both are experimental from a reader’s perspective: compatibility depends on the device, Android kernel and runtime, CLI release, and the particular guide’s current state.

What the native-patch route has to work around
The community workaround project describes a collection of changes rather than a single loader fix. Its README discusses a virtual-address assumption it attributes to the binary, an Android faccessat2 behavior difference, glibc compatibility shims, Termux’s Bionic preload, DNS resolver configuration, CA certificate location, command hashing, and shebang or runner handling for child processes. These details help explain why changing a loader path alone may not be enough. Follow the project’s current instructions for exact commands; its approach is third-party and may change as the CLI or Termux packages change. Read the project README.

Check the CPU requirement before trying its build
The same README warns that its described glibc libraries require LSE atomics, a CPU feature introduced with ARMv8.1-A. It says older ARMv8.0-A hardware may fail with SIGILL and recommends running its CPU capability check before proceeding. This is the repository’s stated limitation, not an independently validated compatibility matrix. Do not assume that an ARM64 label means the phone has the required feature.
Keep version-specific claims in context
A 2026 Google AI Developers Forum post by Brajesh says their native patch approach was tested with Antigravity CLI 1.0.1 on Android ARM64 with a 39-bit virtual address space, and points to an automated community installer. That report describes one version and setup; it does not demonstrate compatibility with later releases or other devices. Read the forum post.

The cpdata README attributes the Linux binary’s failure to a 48-bit ARM64 virtual-address-space assumption and says its script targets 39 bits. Treat those as the project’s technical account and patch rationale, not as a general description of every ARM64 device or CLI release. See the workaround project’s current documentation.

Google Antigravity CLI issue #934, opened September 3, 2026, requested prebuilt native Android binaries and remained open when checked on October 4, 2026. That makes native Termux support a request rather than a documented feature at that time; it does not show that Google has formally refused support. Issue status and community instructions can change, so check both pages for current information before using a workaround. Check issue #934.

- Confirm whether the guide is intended for your Android, Termux, and CLI versions.
- For a native-patch guide, run its own CPU capability check and review what its scripts change before executing them.
- Expect to diagnose more than a missing loader: the runtime, syscalls, DNS, certificates, and child processes may also need attention.
- Keep in mind that the available reports do not establish a success rate or a complete device and version compatibility matrix.
