A deal reported on October 2, 2026, put Windows 11 Pro at $9.97 through October 4 on StackSocial—about $10. But the seller’s live checkout and license terms were not verified, so treat that price and deadline as a report, not a confirmed offer. Check the current price, what kind of license is being sold, and its terms before paying.
Is the $10 Windows 11 Pro deal still available?
Creative Collaboration reported the StackSocial offer at $9.97 through October 4, 2026, and listed $199 as the regular price. Those are the article’s reported figures; a live StackSocial checkout was not confirmed. Prices and availability can change, so verify the total at checkout and do not assume the offer remains available.

For comparison, Microsoft’s US Store listing displayed Windows 11 Pro for $199.99 when checked in 2026, with download and USB configurations. That is a dated US price snapshot, not a guarantee of today’s price or the price in another region. The Store listing is intended for PCs that need a new Windows license and meet Windows 11 system requirements: Microsoft Store: Windows 11 Pro.

- Checkout price and deadline: Confirm the current price, taxes or other charges, and whether the offer is still active.
- License type and scope: Determine whether the seller is offering an upgrade or a new license, which device it can be assigned to, whether it can be transferred, and what support and refund terms apply. The reported price alone does not establish that the license has the same terms as Microsoft’s Store product.
- Installation method: Check whether the purchase includes a download, USB media, or another delivery method. Microsoft lists download and USB options for its own product.
- Seller details: Read the seller’s license and support terms rather than assuming a low-price key is equivalent to Microsoft’s direct purchase.
When Windows 11 Pro is worth choosing over Home
Pro is most relevant if you need one or more of its specific capabilities. Microsoft lists BitLocker Drive Encryption, Remote Desktop, and the ability to join a domain or Microsoft Entra ID among Pro features. If you do not need those tools, compare the editions based on your actual use rather than the discount alone: Microsoft Support: upgrade from Windows Home to Pro.

Windows Sandbox for isolated testing
Windows Sandbox provides a disposable, isolated desktop for testing applications or files, and Microsoft says it is not supported on Windows Home. Networking is enabled by default, however, so Sandbox should not be treated as a guarantee of safety when handling untrusted software: Microsoft Learn: Windows Sandbox.
How to upgrade an existing Windows Home PC
Microsoft says the best way to upgrade from Windows 11 Home to Pro is through the Microsoft Store. The Store flow checks whether the Home installation is activated. Microsoft also documents entering a Pro product key from Activation settings.

Check that your PC meets Windows 11 requirements
Microsoft’s product listing requires a compatible device. Among Microsoft’s stated Windows 11 minimums are a compatible 64-bit processor with at least two cores, 4 GB of memory, and 64 GB of storage. Individual features may need more. Review the full requirements and use Microsoft’s PC Health Check recommendation before buying if you are unsure about compatibility: Microsoft Learn: Windows 11 requirements.

What the price comparison does—and does not—show
The reported $9.97 StackSocial offer is dramatically below the $199.99 Microsoft Store price snapshot, but that gap does not prove the products have identical license rights, delivery, support, or refund terms. Compare those details as well as the verified checkout total. Microsoft’s Store offers download and USB configurations; do not assume a third-party offer includes physical media or equivalent terms.
