Choose Liquid Glass, Abstract 3D, Chrome Reflection or Smoke. Their large near-black areas leave more visual breathing room and keep app icons from competing with the image.

Apple’s wallpapers versus third-party 4K files
There are two different kinds of files described for this generation:
| Source | What it provides | How to describe the resolution |
|---|---|---|
| Apple’s static assets | Official iPhone 18 Pro wallpapers extracted from the iOS 27 Release Candidate | Original Apple files; the cited report does not label them as 4K upscales |
| iGeeksBlog collection | 10 burgundy-themed designs with Download links | Free, full-resolution images as described by the collection |
| TechPP set | Individual downloads and a ZIP archive | TechPP says it upscaled the wallpapers to 4K; its ZIP archive is reported as 40 MB |
TechPP’s Burgundy Dark variant uses deep burgundy and wine-red tones with subtle pink highlights. Its Burgundy Light variant shifts toward softer pink and rose highlights. Treat those as third-party 4K-upscaled files rather than Apple’s original static assets.

Why burgundy matches the iPhone 18 Pro
Apple’s September 9, 2026 release lists iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in black, silver, glacier and the new burgundy finish. Pre-orders began September 12, with availability beginning September 18, 2026. Burgundy TechWoven, Clear, Silicone and FineWoven MagSafe accessories are also listed by Apple, making a matching case an optional way to extend the color theme.
Quick setup recommendations
- Minimal dark setup: Marble on the Home Screen and Liquid Glass on the Lock Screen.
- Maximum drama: Crown Shadow or Architecture on the Lock Screen, with Chrome Reflection behind icons.
- Nature theme: Butterfly for the Lock Screen and Smoke for the Home Screen.
- Space theme: Planet on the Lock Screen with Abstract 3D behind apps.
- Romantic theme: Rose on the Lock Screen and Marble on the Home Screen.
The Bottom Line
For a free, ready-to-download collection, start with iGeeksBlog’s 10 full-resolution burgundy designs. Choose Marble or Chrome Reflection for icon clarity, and Crown Shadow, Architecture, Rose or Planet when the Lock Screen itself should be the focal point. If you specifically want files labeled 4K, use TechPP’s set while remembering that those files are described as third-party upscales, not Apple originals.
