No—not as WooCommerce’s standard Cart and Checkout page assignments. Keep them on separate pages: assigning Cart, Checkout, and My Account to one page can cause incorrect redirects and break payment gateway functionality. If your goal is to let shoppers choose products and pay in one flow, WooCommerce’s One Page Checkout extension is a separate option; it does not replace the required standard Checkout page.
Why you should not assign Cart and Checkout to one page
WooCommerce’s official WooCommerce Pages documentation warns that setting the Cart, Checkout, and My Account pages to the same page causes incorrect redirects and broken payment gateway functionality. WooCommerce 3.7 and later prevents this configuration.

Use separate pages for the store’s standard cart review and checkout steps. The Cart page displays the shopper’s cart; the Checkout page handles payment and order completion. Keep both pages assigned even if your site uses blocks or shortcodes to display their content.

- Open page setup. In WordPress admin, go to WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced, then open Page setup.
- Choose distinct pages. Select a Cart page in the Cart selector and a different page in the Checkout selector.
- Save the settings. Save your changes so WooCommerce can direct cart and payment actions to the correct pages.
- Check each page’s content. Keep the Cart content on the Cart page and Checkout content on the Checkout page. A terms-and-conditions page is optional but recommended; assigning one adds a terms link at checkout.
Choose blocks or classic shortcodes for page content
New WooCommerce installations from version 8.3 use the Cart and Checkout blocks by default. Existing stores may still use the classic shortcodes. The content format does not change the requirement to assign separate Cart and Checkout pages.
#1 Best Overall
- Blocks: Use the Cart block on the Cart page and the Checkout block on the Checkout page. WooCommerce says each block requires its corresponding page to be designated in Advanced settings. Only one Cart page can be designated at a time.
- Classic shortcodes: The Cart shortcode is
[woocommerce_cart]; the Checkout shortcode is[woocommerce_checkout]. In the block editor, add a Shortcode block, enter the relevant shortcode, and save the page.
Some extensions may be more compatible with the classic shortcode versions than with blocks. If an extension stops working with a block, check its WooCommerce compatibility information before changing the store’s page setup.

- In WordPress admin, go to WooCommerce > Status > Tools.
- Find and run Create pages to create missing WooCommerce pages.
- Return to WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced > Page setup and assign the Cart and Checkout pages separately.
If you want product selection and checkout together
WooCommerce documents its One Page Checkout extension for a different buying flow: shoppers can select products and complete checkout together on a landing page. This is not a way to assign the store’s core Cart and Checkout functions to the same page. Keep the standard Checkout page assigned; WooCommerce says it remains necessary for receipts and order confirmation. Check the extension’s current availability and terms before choosing it.
Quick Recap

| Choose products and check out on a landing page | Use WooCommerce One Page Checkout | The standard Checkout page remains required. |
